1970

In 1970, a major fundraising dinner was held at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York.

1979

Former President Gerald Ford in 1979 dedicated the Wright Building, in memory of Harold Wright.

1989

In 1989, Dolores Hope, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees, announced a $5 million challenge grant by former Ambassador Walter Annenberg and his wife.

1994

The auxiliary — the hospital's powerful volunteer arm that also provided plenty of fundraising punch — celebrated its 25th anniversary in 1994, having contributed more than two million volunteer hours and raised more than $14 million for Eisenhower.

2001

In 2001, the largest charitable donation in the history of the Coachella Valley — a $25 million contribution from the Annenberg Foundation — was announced.

2003

In May 2003, Eisenhower Medical Center celebrated Bob Hope's 100th birthday.

2006

21, 2006, Senator Barbara Boxer visited the Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center to announce $500,000 in federal funding for the Arnold Palmer Prostrate Center.

2009

18, 2009, Eisenhower Medical Center broke ground on a new, three-story 90,000-square-foot health center, thanks to a $20 million gift by philanthropists George and Julia Argyros.

2011

In January 2011, Eisenhower celebrated the opening of two new health centers in Palm Springs: Eisenhower Health Center at Rimrock and Eisenhower Health Center at Sunrise.
