The research in the Qu lab focuses on lung immunity, inflammation, and diseases, including lung cancer, the leading cause of cancer-related death in the U.S. and worldwide. Using mouse and human co-clinical models and state-of-the-art technologies, the Qu group is trying to elucidate the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying lung diseases development, progression, and therapy resistance, for prognostic, preventive, and therapeutic purposes, and is developing innovative therapies for lung cancer, the most devastating cancer type.

The USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate in the Center for Economic and Social Research (CESR) department. The largest and oldest of the USC schools, USC Dornsife functions as the academic core of the university, offering courses and advancing knowledge across the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences.
The Interplay of Genes and Environment across Multiple Studies (IGEMS) Consortium in coordination with CESR at USC seek to hire a post-doctoral scholar for a 2-year tenure with a start date to be determined by the scholar's needs and current position. This scholar will support a newly awarded NIA grant (R01 AG081248) titled “Country, cohort, and gender disparities in the relationship between education and ADRD” which combines multiple measures of education to explore the education/ADRD relationship, noting that these relationships may vary as a function of diverse social environments-captured in our study as gender, country, and birth-cohort variation. In addition to working with the researchers on the awarded R01, scholars will also have the ability to work with the more than 30 researchers in 6 different countries that constitute the IGEMS research network. Travel to IGEMS research sites (U. Colorado, Penn State, UC San Diego, Karolinska Institute) and collaboration with researchers and post-docs working on related IGEMS projects will be coordinated as appropriate.

The Center for Empowered Learning and Development with Technology (CELDTech) is looking for a postdoctoral research scholar to start on November 1, 2025. The successful candidate will work on the National Institutes of Health-funded CRITmetic Project, which is a multi-year project that includes the design and development of a digital literacy and mental health intervention.
Applications are strongly encouraged from developmental scientists with expertise at the intersection of Black and/or Latine adolescent development and digital studies. More specifically, we have a project that will use a liberatory design lens to create an online mental health intervention. The successful candidate would also have access to datasets focused on digital learning, critical digital literacy and race-related experiences online.
Our new postdoc will work closely with CELDTech's director, Brendesha Tynes, in all research and design phases including curriculum design, prototyping, interview protocols, data collection, data analysis, manuscript writing, and research presentations at national conferences. The role will also involve project management, including managing data analyses and manuscript writing. There will be some management tasks that require working with the grants administration office, members of the research team, and research participants to ensure that the project runs smoothly. The scholar will also work on their own research projects 20% of the time and receive mentoring in their role as principal investigator.
CELDTech is committed to conducting methodologically rigorous research on how students learn and develop with technology in schools and beyond. We also design and develop liberatory educational technology. CELDTech draws on cutting-edge learning and developmental science to foreground students' histories, cultural assets and needs. Recent projects include a national study of critical race digital literacy, a survey of culturally sustaining online learning, and the design of a platform to teach adolescents racial coping skills.
Applicants should have a completed PhD in developmental, clinical or educational psychology, human development, education, African American Studies, computer science or a related field. They should also have a solid publication record for a scholar just obtaining their doctorate. This position is a full-time, 12-month appointment, with the possibility of renewal. A newly established laboratory of Dr. Yao Wei Lu is recruiting two Postdoc Research Associates. Dr. Lu's lab studies gene regulation that dictates cell fates and states in development and diseases. The Lu Lab is particularly interested in applying various cutting-edge molecular, cellular, and genetic approaches to understand the post-transcriptional gene regulatory mechanisms in cardiovascular development, regeneration, and diseases. Responsibilities and Duties

• Conducting cellular and molecular experiments for hypothesis-driven research.
• Preparing presentations and publishing scientific manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
• Responsible for teaching techniques to other lab members.
• Serves as a project liaison between the lab and their collaborators.

Preferred Qualifications
Highly motivated Ph.D. with a strong background in one or more of the following areas: cell/molecular/developmental biology, mouse genetics, human induced pluripotent stem cells, and related biomedical science fields are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in experimental methods in construction materials and structural engineering. Examples include testing of 3D printed structures, FRP strengthened structures, fresh concrete and hardened concrete, and fiber-reinforced concretes, among others. The candidate should hold a doctoral degree in civil engineering or related fields. Publications in respected journals and a good understanding of testing standards and design guidelines/standards are preferred qualifications. Although not being required, a professional engineering license will be beneficial. The candidates are expected to heavily support the operation of Structures and Materials Research Laboratory as a ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited testing laboratory providing testing services to the industry. The responsibilities include operating test equipment, performing equipment and sensor calibration, proficiency testing, inventory management, record keeping, coordinating meetings, and preparing for and participating in laboratory audits by the accreditation agency.

The BRAVE Lab is housed within the Department of Psychology at the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. This position will involve coordinating a study funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) examining links between executive function-related brain activity and anxiety among school-age children. The Research Laboratory Technician will work with clinical psychologists, developmental and cognitive neuroscientists, and brain imaging professionals involved in the project.
Essential responsibilities include:
Provides general laboratory assistance to support research activities.
Recruits and screens participants for research and schedules their visits to the laboratory.
Obtains informed consent from research participants and their families.

Job Accountabilities
Under the supervision of the Technical Director, the Research Lab Technician II will provide routine and specific laboratory support for Immune Monitoring and Flow Cytometry services. The responsibilities include (but are not limited) to:
Learn new technologies quickly, such as blood processing and cell isolation.
Prepare, operate and maintain equipment.
Manage inventory of specimens.
Process and store human specimens (e.g. blood, solid tumors, urine and stool).
Order and maintain laboratory materials and supplies.
Prepare technical reports, papers and presentations.

Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in life science
Preferred Experience: at least 2 year hands-on research experience in basic or clinical research, particularly isolation and culturing human PBMC from blood samples.
