Officers may be subject to scheduled overtime and/or emergency call outs when off duty. Law enforcement work environment exposes employee to dangerous and potentially dangerous situations, and requires the employee to carry a weapon. Physical exertion is required to restrain disorderly subjects. The employee must be able to do strenuous work in all kinds of weather and on surfaces at, above, or below floor level. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Build partnerships with between 3-5 communities primarily working with tribes to initiate Senior Companion program
* Design and facilitate health and wellness gathering for Elders in partner communities with the aim of providing an engaging activity for Elders in the community, recruiting new Elders into the Elder Volunteer program, and establishing a Senior Companion volunteer program in communities.
* Recruit and onboard new Elder Volunteers into the program, including advertising in communities, identifying potential volunteers, and establishing volunteer host sites.
* Collaborate with RurAL CAP's AmeriCorps Seniors Program team, join weekly virtual meetings, and use Microsoft 365 to share documents, communicate with team, and share updates.
* Work with communities to develop volunteer assignment plans for Elder volunteers
* Provide support for Elder Volunteers serving in the program particularly around hosting Elder Support groups in the communities
* Collaborate with AmeriCorps Seniors Program supervisor to train Elder Volunteers in program
* Collect timesheets from Elder Volunteers and submit to supervisors

Accurately inventory station pay boxes, collecting and recording all cash or cash equivalents (theater tickets, etc.) from each station, and securing all collected monies

Properly deposit in the designated bank all monies or cash equivalents and accompanying documentation at the end of each shift, or when five deposit bags or $400 has been collected.
Change rates at stations, as directed
Issue parking violation and “parking owed” notices to vehicles without payment or valid permit, accurately recording vehicle information as required
May perform data entry, using electronic devices
Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork for each shift
Clear trash and debris from each station throughout the shift, reporting any maintenance or additional clean up required, such as potholes, missing or broken signage, or other hazards
Inspect and verify location signage and rates
Protect company property and/or equipment from damage or loss
Report any vehicles meeting impound criteria to supervisor
Patrols area to prevent thefts from parked automobiles
Complete an incident report for claims of damage or to document any unusual incidents during shift.
Accurate completion of shift reports, security logs, and any other such required documentation for each shift.
Accurate completion and submission of time cards at end of your last shift before the pay period ends
Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance at all times. While on the job, wear the designated uniform, if required, and display identification badge
Regular, consistent attendance during scheduled work hours and the ability to work overtime if requested

Scope of Position: The Summer Cook is primarily responsible for the Camp Kitchen while camp is in session. The Summer Cook provides nutritious meals in accordance with USDA Summer Food Service Program standards for groups of 75 or more. Serves food efficiently and maintains a pleasant atmosphere in the dining room. Provides supervision and direction to Support Crew when on kitchen duty. Provides management and organization of the kitchen, including maintaining an inventory. Assists with food and kitchen supply ordering.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age with a current driver's license with acceptable driving and criminal history reports.
Prior work experience as as cook for large groups, preferred.
Current State of Alaska Food Workers Card required or ability to obtain after the start of camp.
Must perform duties efficiently and demonstrate good judgment.
Essential Functions:
Cooks and serves nutritious meals in accordance with USDA Summer Food Service Program standards for groups of 75 or more.
Provides timely meals in accordance with set schedules.
Ensures all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner.
Cleans kitchen facilities, equipment and appliances in accordance with standard sanitizing practices.
Supervises the Support Crew while on kitchen duty.
Ensures proper safety precautions are taken in the kitchen.
Maintains inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner.
Assists Youth Program Specialist with food order when needed.
Actively participates in the spiritual formation of campers and staff.
Ensures campers respect personal property, camp equipment and facilities.
Develops and maintains positive working relationships with all staff, volunteers, and campers.
Ensures campers adhere to camp and Salvation Army policies and procedures.
Ensures and provides supervision and physical/emotional safety for campers and staff.
Maintains a standard of cleanliness in personal grooming and living quarters.
Assists in clean-up of the camp at the end of sessions/summer.
Assists with all other duties as assigned.
Protect the Mission: Must complete the online course for this area and pass the Background Checks required by The Salvation Army for employment.
Driver Requirements: Must be a licensed driver with an acceptable driving history. Must also complete and pass The Salvation Army Driver Safety Course.
Work Environment: Work is performed in a heated and ventilated setting. Noise level is medium when operating motorized kitchen equipment. Occasional daily exposure to walk-in cooler and freezer during production periods and food deliveries.
Equipment Used: Employee must be able to operative equipment associated with work such as: natural gas stoves, ovens, steamers and steam tables, toasters, freezers, mixers, coffee machines, cutlery and other kitchen tools, dishwashers, blenders, and telephones.
Physical Demands:
Ability to speak, sit, walk, stand, bend, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent basis; to grasp, reach, handle, finger, push or pull objects.
Ability to see and hear at normal ranges with corrective devices, if necessary.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., or more with assistance.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle in daylight, darkness, or in inclement weather conditions.
