Qualifications Work Experience None License/Registration/Certification Current certification as a Surgical Technician required or military documentation for surgical technology training Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Education and Training Graduate of accredited Surgical Technologist school/program OR surgical scrub tech training through military. Skills Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions. Possess effective oral communications skills. Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a Surgical Technician. Ability to precept new staff and students in aseptic technique, instrumentation, and operative procedures.
