Current BCLS and ACLS certification(s). **Job Description:** To provide care and treatment for life support and/or stabilization of chronically or acutely ill and/or injured patients on station and/or on flights from and within Antarctica in collaboration with other health team members in support of the United States Antarctica Program. Responsible for ensuring and maintaining Medevac preparedness. **Specific Job Related Duties:** + Autonomously evaluates critically ill or injured patients of all age groups, provides therapeutic intervention, emergency interventions, and preparation for transport (via ground, helicopter, or airplane) from station, field camps, accident scenes. + Acts as primary care attendant for Medevac patients in route to New Zealand. Maintains contact with all involved parties to ensure smooth information flow and appropriate patient support. + Maintains Medevac supplies and equipment prepared for immediate use.
