Essential Duties/Responsibilities * Performs complex and confidential administrative support to senior leadership. Reconciles financial statements, acquires necessary approvals, and submits documentation to the Finance Services Department. * Collects and conducts research; compiles and analyzes data or statistics for preparation of reports, spreadsheets, charts, and graphs. * Develops and designs general business communication, including letters, memos, charts, tables, graphs, meeting minutes, and business plans. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar, and layout, making appropriate changes in adherence to branding standards. Responsible for the accuracy and clarity of the final copy. * Prepares spreadsheets, reports, and presentations as requested; performs research and provides information as requested and/or utilizes in preparation of spreadsheets, reports, and presentations. * Provides administrative and liaison support to boards, commissions, advisory boards, etc., as needed. * Coordinates and participates in special events and projects as needed. * Performs other duties as required. After certification in the academy, this position will focus on enforcing laws, rules and regulations and following the procedures of the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility. This will include areas such as booking, prisoner care, security and transportation. This is an appointed position that works at the pleasure of the Sheriff. After successful completion of the POST Academy, you must successfully complete a one year assignment in the Detention Facility before being eligible to assess for patrol. This role will have a unique impact on the local infrastructure by supporting the planning, design, and project management of key civil engineering projects focused on traffic systems. As part of our engineering division, you will play a vital role in ensuring that traffic flow, safety measures, and public works meet county standards and long-term development goals. What You'll Do Lead or assist with traffic data collection and coordination, providing data summaries, analytics, and dataset management in collaboration with the County's Asset Management team via the ArcGIS Online platform. Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of asset management datasets. Partner with traffic operations and maintenance teams to identify areas for improvement in maintaining the city's aging traffic infrastructure. Conduct regular traffic safety and speed analyses, using standards from the Speed Management and Local Road Safety Plan to address citizen concerns. Oversee or support comprehensive processes-including review, data collection, analysis, design, implementation, and field verification-using the City Works platform to address identified traffic issues. Support Project Engineers and Managers in monitoring and coordinating construction activities for signal or intersection rebuilds, along with other Capital Improvement Projects (CIPs). Lead or assist in developing traffic signal timing using SYNCHRO, including field implementation, coordination, and signal maintenance assessments. Perform photometric analyses using AGI32 and support streetlight maintenance through field implementation and coordination. Review Traffic Control Plans and special event permits as needed.
