Job Summary
Electra Link is seeking an experienced Estimator to support our Houston Industrial Division. This role is responsible for industrial low-voltage system design, material and labor cost estimation, and bid proposal preparation. The Estimator will work closely with sales, project management, and operations teams to develop accurate, competitive bids that meet customer and project requirements in industrial environments.
This position requires a strong background in industrial low-voltage systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop accurate cost estimates for industrial low-voltage projects, including structured cabling, voice/data systems, system layouts, rack elevations, and labor analysis
Design and specify low-voltage systems appropriate for industrial facilities, plants, and complex environments
Interpret project drawings, specifications, and site conditions to determine scope, materials, and labor requirements
Collaborate with Sales during client meetings, walkthroughs, and presentations to support estimating and scope clarification
Work closely with Project Management, Purchasing, Service, and Fabrication teams to create bills of materials and execution plans
Prepare complete job packets, including scope of work, equipment lists, installation requirements, safety considerations, and programming details
Review drawings and documentation for accuracy prior to project execution
Support awarded projects by attending kickoff meetings and ensuring alignment between bid scope and operations
Coordinate with manufacturers and distributors to secure competitive pricing and project registrations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date bid records within Sales Now
Provide after-sales technical support as needed
Ensure compliance with customer safety standards, industrial site requirements, and company policies
Required Skills & Qualifications
Industrial low-voltage background (required)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Education & Experience

Job Overview: The AV Technician is responsible for the installation of commercial and professional audiovisual equipment. This position requires working closely with project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and clients to complete projects on time, within budget, and with excellent quality.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for adhering to the company's and client's safety guidelines.
Coordinates with the project manager to ensure productivity, job completion, and compliance with the budget.
Serves are the main on-site customer contact for questions and/or concerns.
Performs work consistently, demonstrating a detailed level of technical knowledge and being able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
Be self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision.
Minimum of 5 years of AV installation experience.
Ability to read and implement construction and signal flow drawings.
High standards of workmanship on cabling, lacing, soldering, and crimping.
Ability to test completed systems fully for both engineering specifications and operational functionality.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve issues as they arise.
Network cabling is a plus.
CTS certifications are a plus.
Familiar with Extron, Crestron, AMX, and Audio DSP Systems, manufacturer's certifications are a plus.

Job Responsibilities:
Pull, test, and terminate various types of cabling.

Work comfortably from ladders (6ft/8ft/10ft) and scissor/boom lifts.
Perform tasks in commercial new construction environments.
Operate hand tools proficiently (e.g., drills, screwdrivers, snips, levels).
Requirements:
Flexible availability, including willingness to work overtime when needed.
Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
Dependable and punctual, with excellent communication skills.
Ability to lift/move 50 lbs. or more and maintain mobility for physical tasks.
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently is preferred.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
OSHA 10 Certification is a plus.
