We are currently seeking B Class Lineperson to join our EGS team in the Overhead Distribution Construction and Maintenance Department. Essential Functions * Assists with construction and maintenance of overhead distribution lines and equipment • Is able to climb wooden poles with fall protection and other PPE on to help perform these duties • Assists with work from the ground • Works from aerial device installing and repairing overhead distribution lines and equipment • Makes secondary connections at transformers • Assists with pulling in new wire and sagging • Assists with replacing and setting new poles • Is able to effectively cover up to safely complete work on energized lines, and equipment • Employee will be exposed to hot and cold environments, poisonous plants or reptiles, and stinging insects. • Working hours are typically 10 hours per day. • Clears work area and maintains safe jobsite conditions. • Excavates to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification. • Will have contact with public and private property owners to communicate work to be performed. • Participates in company training of all regional safety guidelines and is required to perform all work by the regional safety policies. • Assists with assembling material on the ground to be installed by lineman, and assists with the installation. • Exposed to traffic and may be required to have training on traffic flagging • Operates various tools for the work (manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers, drills, come-alongs, jack hammer, power tamp, and hand-line etc.). • Works around hazardous equipment. • Works near energized parts or equipment. • Works around excessive noise from machines, jackhammers, chain saws and other equipment with proper hearing protection. • All other duties as required or requested by Supervisors. We are seeking a licensed electrician to assist with the installation of outdoor NEC lighting and EV chargers.
