The Shipyard Test Organization is a learning organization that plans, prepares and executes complex testing on all non-nuclear systems through strict adherence to the policies and procedures that drive our Test Program. STO Test Directors complete a rigorous qualification program through provided schooling, hands-on application and troubleshooting on the deckplate, and a continued dedication to growth and proficiency within their role. Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: * Perform electrical testing of all Shipboard, Steam and Electric Plant, Auxiliary and Weapons systems. * Complete Test Director review of Test Form data daily and logging calibrated test equipment * Exhibit high moral character and integrity required to certify NAVSEA test requirements. * Exhibit the ability to read and understand various system and test diagrams/drawings required for all electrical system testing. * Work onboard submarines under construction during all phases of construction in all types of weather. * Work requires heavy lifting, pulling and climbing (ladders) and enter in tight/confined spaces for extended periods of time. * Perform various electrical testing tasks using various meters to perform continuity checks of installed cables and equipment. Perform alignments of ship systems electronic systems. Assist in trouble shooting when required. * Individual must understand and comply with Division Safety Manual and technical manual operating instructions * Be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
