What you will work on:
Participates in safety meetings and dialogs, performs Job Hazard Analysis, and performs Incident Investigations as needed to maintain the safest work environment possible
Takes ownership of safety processes; performs maintenance safety program audits (Lockout/Tag out, Confined Space, Fall Protection, PPE, mobile equipment, etc.).
The Electrician is responsible for equipment maintenance and reliability throughout the plant.
Maintains heavy industrial machinery with a working knowledge of AC-DC motors and controls, combustion, metering, air conditioning, power distribution, electronics process control computers, welding, conduit and schematics.
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, modifying, rebuilding and maintaining plant equipment.
Must have working knowledge of all or some of the following: electrical/electronic circuits, PLC's, wire installation/termination, conduit threading, bending and installation, AC and DC drives and welding.
This person will be required to operate mobile equipment including forklift, man lift, scissor lift, and overhead cranes.
This person will perform preventive maintenance on equipment and make repairs or improvements as needed.
Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to ensure minimum interruption to process.
This position will require a very safety oriented person to perform maintenance duties in a team environment and the ability to work alone with little or no supervision.
Ability to make decisions on equipment repairs and be self-motivated.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, highly technical position responsible for performing diversified work of erection and repair of distribution and transmission lines of varying classes and voltages, including substations, energized lines, and on structures and equipment involved in the distribution and transmission of electricity.
Nature and Scope of Position (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):

Complete scheduled tool and truck inspections. Complete scheduled exchanges of rubber gloves, sleeves and cover-up materials.
Perform scheduled on-call duty assignments including working after regular working hours and on Saturdays, Sundays, and company-observed holidays. Respond quickly to all outage calls and emergency situations. Respond to un-scheduled outage work as assigned or as called in to work as the need develops.
