RAND's Meselson Center, part of the Global and Emerging Risks (GER) division, is seeking an accomplished technical leader to drive our ambitious AI cyber evaluation agenda. As Research Lead - AI Cyber Testing & Evaluation, you'll direct a comprehensive research portfolio focused on assessing the offensive cyber capabilities of frontier AI models.
You will be responsible for managing significant research budgets and personnel, overseeing complex technical research and policy analysis projects, and leading multidisciplinary teams of policy researchers, engineers, and scientists. Your team will build systems to evaluate how AI models perform across the full attack lifecycle, including resource development, initial access, discovery, lateral movement, and defense evasion.
Your projects may include developing benchmarks for fully autonomous operations using scaffolding and tools, as well as uplift of both novice and expert humans. Such benchmarks may involve environments like CTF challenges, frameworks for assessing ability to reason over attack graphs and conduct multi-stage operations, assessment of stealth and defense evasion capabilities, and benchmarks for ability to conduct time-sensitive operations at machine speed.
Many of your evaluations will be commissioned directly by relevant government agencies, and the results of your evaluations will drive responsible AI policy across the world. Your team will communicate findings through detailed technical analyses, evaluation frameworks, and quick-turnaround policy briefs. Your work will inform analysis delivered to senior government and industry leaders.

Your projects may include developing benchmarks for fully autonomous operations using scaffolding and tools, as well as uplift of both novice and expert humans. Such benchmarks may involve environments like CTF challenges, frameworks for assessing ability to reason over attack graphs and conduct multi-stage operations, assessment of stealth and defense evasion capabilities, and benchmarks for ability to conduct time-sensitive operations at machine speed.
Many of your evaluations will be commissioned directly by relevant government agencies, and the results of your evaluations will drive responsible AI policy across the world. Job Summary
As part of its broader vision to lead in critical research areas, the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) is launching a new leadership initiative to elevate and coordinate its capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI). This role-Research Innovation Lead (RIL) for AI-will serve as a strategic connector, driving collaboration and institutional positioning in one of the most transformative areas of applied transportation research. TTI is seeking a collaborative, visionary leader to serve as RIL -AI. This position will work across disciplines to advance TTI's AI research agenda, expand external partnerships, and drive and expand innovation across the Institute's research portfolio.
This is a strategic, outward-facing role designed for a dynamic leader with a strong background in AI applications, business development, and cross-disciplinary teamwork. The RIL-AI will coordinate AI-related efforts across research groups, foster collaboration among Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and position TTI as a leader in AI-enabled transportation research.
The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of business growth and sponsor engagement, including experience identifying and securing funding from public and private sources. We are seeking someone with recognized technical, scientific, and/or business leadership at the national or international level, and with the strategic mindset to position TTI as a thought leader in AI-enabled transportation research and applications. This role requires not only visionary thinking and business acumen, but also a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in the face of rapidly evolving AI technologies and methods.
This role reports to the TTI Research Group Leader for Operations and is supported by a junior staff member, internal SMEs, and institutional funding for strategic activities. The RIL will work in close coordination with RGLs, Division Heads, and program managers to support, not supersede, existing research leadership, and to facilitate collaboration across organizational units. The position is 100% institutionally funded for the first 18-24 months to allow sufficient time for onboarding, strategic alignment, and external engagement. Senior Research Analyst for Transnational Repression and Migration

The RSenior Research Analyst will join a small, supportive, and dynamic team working to assess and combat transnational repression, or the targeting of exiles, diasporas, and refugees by their origin countries. The position will play a key role in managing and producing new Freedom House policy research on the protection of these populations from threats - ranging from surveillance to assault - emanating from their origin countries. Responsibilities will include participating in developing an assessment toolkit for host country policies to protect migrants, project management and logistics for applying the toolkit to specific host countries, overseeing research consultants, and analyzing research results in order to draw policy and analytical conclusions. In addition, the analyst will be able to think critically about the ways in which the protection and inclusion of migrants has broader implications for democracies and help Freedom House incorporate protection and inclusion of migrants into other parts of its research and analysis. This is a full-time research position based in Freedom House's office in New York City (with remote work in effect at time of hiring), reporting to the Director of Research Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Director for Research Strategy, manage a new policy research project on transnational repression, focusing on policies for the protection of exiles, diasporas, and refugees from threats emanating from their origin countries. This project will include critical consideration of the relationship between protection and inclusion of migrants in democracies, and policies that support both protection and inclusion.
Analyze policies for the protection of these populations in varying settings, including in democratic and non-democratic contexts, but especially in selected European Union member states.
Recruit and oversee qualified field consultants, ensuring that they produce high quality, comparable research on policy measures for the protection of these populations.
Perform substantive fact-checking and editing of reports produced by consultants, many authored by non-native English speakers. In the process of editing, supplement the reports with own research.
Strengthen expertise within Freedom House on the rights of migrants, contribute written internal and external analysis for Freedom House, and provide substantive input at internal and external meetings.
Represent Freedom House publicly with media, policymakers, and other stakeholders in areas pertinent to transnational repression, asylum, and migration.
Develop a network of regional and thematic experts to serve as new contributors to Freedom House research, and act as a primary point of contact with external consultants.
Analyze data and prepare charts, graphics, and other support materials for publication
Assist with funding proposals, donor reports, and monitoring and evaluation of the project's impact
Ensure consultant contracts, payment requests, business expense reports, and other financial documents are in line with Freedom House requirements
Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
For Senior Research Analyst: Master's degree in political science, human rights, law, international law, media, public policy, or related field; plus 5-7 years of direct work experience related to migration and/or political exiles and diasporas.

POSITION SUMMARY
The policy and research manager will lead and manage CDF-Ohio's advocacy, movement building, and research programs ensuring that policymakers and the public receive timely, accurate, and evidence-based research information. The position will lead the development of policy recommendations informed by the lived experiences of Ohio's youth, young adults, parents, caregivers, and faith activists, aligned to CDF's mission, values, and strategy. The policy and research manager will supervise all aspects of CDF-Ohio's research program and Ohio KIDS COUNT project. Advocacy
* Manage CDF-Ohio's advocacy strategy which includes:

The Director of Evaluation, Impact, and Research will lead the strategic design and execution of research strategies to meet the goals of the Alliance's strategic plan and research agenda, to advance the field of Decision Education. As Temporary Campaigns Lead, you play an integral role in guiding THL's campaigns. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Lead assigned campaigns against US food companies-setting strategies, executing tactics, and managing overall campaign performance within and across departments, given only general directives.

This is a full-time, remote position. This position requires domestic and international travel, equivalent to four or more trips per year.
