Electrical apprentice job in De Pere, WI
St. Norbert College (SNC), a nationally ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college, is seeking an Electrician. This position oversees the maintenance, installation, modification, and operation of all College electrical systems, including switchgear, lighting and associated controls, transformers, and distribution equipment. The role also includes developing and implementing best practices for system performance and energy management, as well as coordinating and leading internal teams and external vendors. Experience with both commercial and residential electrical systems is required.
Regular work hours are Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
Specific responsibilities:
Operate, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and perform preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment and systems, including generators, transfer switches, and low-voltage systems.
Monitor, test, and maintain fire alarm, emergency power, and emergency lighting systems; ensure compliance with current codes and regulatory requirements; maintain accurate documentation.
Interpret and apply building and electrical drawings and technical documentation; participate in plan reviews for renovations and new construction projects.
Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and certifications to enhance system performance, reliability, and energy efficiency; identify opportunities for improvement and assist with budgeting, planning, and implementation of upgrades.
Complete work orders promptly and respond to system outages and occupant concerns.
Coordinate and manage external contractors and internal teams on project work and preventative maintenance programs across all College properties.
Perform private utility locates to support safe and accurate work.
Undertake other duties as assigned, including assisting with non-electrical work orders, participating in the On-Call rotation, and supporting the Snow Removal program.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Electrical Associates Degree, Apprenticeship, or greater.
3-5 years of experience in the electrical field required.
WI Journeyman Electrician License.
WI Master Electrician License is a plus.
Valid Driver's License

The Role - Electrical Foreman

Work in conjunction with AM, SUP and PM to plan all aspects of project prior to starting on site.
Install all electrical equipment and material per the project's requirements, National Electrical Code, and the requirements of state and local authorities. Ensure the quality of workmanship for these installations.

lnstall, modify, maintain, calibrate, and repair electronic controls and devices on S.P. and J.C.T. boilers and Alfa Laval heat transfer, separation and fluid handling equipment including Variable-Frequency Drives (VFDs), Pressure Sensors, Limit Switches, Photo-Eyes, etc.
Interpret and understand blueprints and electrical schematic drawings for S.P. and J.C.T. boilers and Alfa Laval heat transfer, separation and fluid handling equipment.
Connect S.P. and J.C.T. boilers and Alfa Laval heat transfer, separation and fluid handling equipment to power including panel wiring, equipment wiring and motor wiring; test evaluate and make adjustments to connections.
Replace/repair electric motors on S.P. and J.C.T. boilers and Alfa Laval heat transfer, separation and fluid handling equipment.
Perform both basic and complex preventative maintenance as well as major repairs to equipment and systems including on S.P. and J.C.T. boilers and Alfa Laval heat transfer, separation and fluid handling equipment.
Receive instructions and work autonomously to perform required work.
Coordinate several electrical projects simultaneously and prioritized accordingly.
Comply with health and safety requirements by following proper lockout/tag-out procedures as required.
Qualifications:
Must have 3 years of experience working on electrical power tools, equipment and systems including boilers manufactured by Superior Boiler and J.C.T. or similar and including experience with Alfa Laval heat transfer, separation and fluid handling equipment as well as Variable-Frequency Drives, Pressure Sensors, Limit Switches and Photo-Eyes.
Must also have the ability to consistently perform duties, for extended periods, in a challenging work environment, including exposure to high heat, cold, strong odors, and dust.
Must have professional or technical certification or license in electrical installation or similar.

Plan layout, install, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, dissemble, refit, repair, and/or rebuild electrical equipment, systems, and machines including automatic and process controls, switch boards, HMI, control center and panels, relays, circuit breakers electronic control, printers, and scales (portable, floor, and matrix-hot/cold).
Perform maintenance and understand 110, 220, 480-volt single phase, three phases, controls, motor circuits and drive systems.
Under supervision, installs, maintains repairs and/or rebuilds complicated machines and plant equipment.
Assemble, install or repair plumbing (e.g. threading pipe), equipment or machinery to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair.
Perform basic welding (e.g. primarily tig; some mig and stick). Ability to identify good and bad welds.
Advise management on continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
Complete necessary paperwork (PM sheets, work orders, etc.) and keep records of repairs and replacements made and causes of malfunctions.
Assist with repairs and/or maintenance at Northland or Cold Storage.

We are looking to fill (2) open ELECTRICIAN positions with a manufacturer located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, in the general area of Iron Mountain, MI.
· DAY SHIFT, 3-12 hour shifts on Friday, Sat. and Sunday each week.
· $32 to $42 per hour DOE
· $3000 SIGN-ON BONUS/RELOCATION ASSISTANCE
· NO LICENSE IS REQUIRED.
SUMMARY
Diagnose, isolate, and effect installation, repair, replacement, maintenance, or modification of the plant electrical systems. Perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind and in accordance with established procedures and process instructions. Take necessary action to minimize delay time and maximize
production.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
1. Exhibit superior safety practices every day evidenced by outstanding housekeeping at all times.
2. Extend treatment to all other employees of the Company as individuals with the courtesy and dignity shown to customers.

Essential
1. Install and maintain plant electrical systems to provide power for lighting , controls, and facilities in
accordance with local codes and safety requirements by applying knowledge of AC /DC circuits and
systems, motor control theory and design, basic fluid power, electrical control devices , and electrical test
equipment.
2. Inspect, isolate, rewire, and troubleshoot electrical problems or operating difficulties based on
manufacturers' drawings, schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and engineering specifications.
3. Determine the need for and effect repairs and adjustments. Make emergency repairs when necessary to
prevent excessive production delays.
4. Read, understand, create, and apply electrical schematics in various applications , including building
electrical control panels.
5. Access, troubleshoot, and upload/download Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Perform basic
diagnostics and make changes to PLC programs.
6. Complete all required paperwork in an accurate, neat, and timely manner.

JOB OVERVIEW
As a Electrician, you will play a crucial role in all electrical work related to our manufacturing processes. This includes bending conduit, pulling wire, working with control circuitry, and interpreting electrical blueprints. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in commercial and industrial construction electrical work, exhibiting precision, efficiency, and a commitment to safety always.
ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)
Pull wire and terminate devices such as receptacles, switches, motors, and other electrical components.
Work with panel boards, transformers, and distribution equipment in accordance with industry standards.
Execute duties typical of a Commercial/Industrial Construction Electrician, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Prioritize and plan work activities effectively, managing time efficiently to meet project objectives.
Demonstrate teamwork by collaborating effectively with colleagues, offering assistance, and responding positively to feedback.
Adhere to safe manufacturing and material handling practices to maintain a secure work environment.
Fulfill additional job duties assigned by the company, remaining flexible and adaptable to changing needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Working knowledge of NEC electrical codes and proficient conduit bending skills.
Experience with panel boards, transformers, and distribution equipment preferred.
State journeymen or Masters license is a plus.
2-3 years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical work preferred.
Medium voltage and electronics experience is advantageous.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience with fabrication or machining
Ability to read and interpret drawings accurately
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does no have leadership/supervisory responsibilities.

Job Summary
