Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will be responsible for optimizing the manufacturing process at the Mesa XNRGY production site, with a strong focus on electrical systems and equipment. As part of your role, you will be working as a bridge between electrical engineering and operations to refine the production techniques and implement best practices. Your work will contribute to continuous improvement efforts that will improve efficiency, reduce cost and ensure the delivery of a high quality product. An overview of your responsibilities: Optimize electrical systems within existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement techniques to identify electrical bottlenecks and failure points and to reduce waste. Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot electrical related production issues and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions Create and maintain electrical install, test and other documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams and equipment specifications. Ensure SOPs are up to date for all electrical install and safety protocol. Provide technical training for production staff on electrical installation and processes. Ensure staff are trained on safe practices when working with electrical systems. Ensure electrical processes adhere to safety standards and promote a safety first culture. Provide electrical expertise and recommendations to various departments, assisting with equipment selection, installation, and system improvements to align with production goals. Participate in continuous improvement projects across cross-functional teams and multi-site operations to ensure best practices What you'll need, among other things! Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems Engineering, or a related field. Journeyman Electrical certificate will be considered. Experience: 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Specialist, Electrical Engineer or Electrical systems manager within a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, schematics & Bills of Materials to ensure accurate system design, installation and maintenance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle data and make data-driven decisions. Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant process improvement frameworks are preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with various departments Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities Knowledge of CAD and electrical design tools for creating schematics, system simulations, and equipment layout. How you will make history here... The Electrical Controls Technician provides electrical and technical support to the facility. The controls technician will also be an ongoing part of the design and upgrading of new and existing equipment for continuous bakery improvement. What you will do... * Provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel on electrical hardware and software to maintain and keep the plant in operation when breakdown occurs. * Locate electrical/electric problem areas and design systems to improve operations of plant machinery. * Redesign existing electrical systems when the present components are obsolete and no longer available. * Participate with bakery and engineering in the design and/or operation of new control systems. * Fill in as electrical supervisor as needed. * Coordinate the wiring of electrical equipment and components, maintain documentation to include all back up disks, electrical equipment manuals and updates the plant's * specifications of usable electrical components. * Assist in the training of plant personnel through empowerment of electrical personnel to ensure that they are capable of maintaining systems with minimum supervision, downtime and loss of productivity. * Ensure that all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) are followed. * Ensure all safety rules and programs are adhered to and train lock out and tag out procedures.
