The Field Electrical Apprentice is responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with civil construction projects including site preparation, excavation, pouring concrete, pipe laying, basic electrical tasks, and general labor duties. The role requires working under the direction of a Foreman or Supervisor to ensure the successful completion of daily tasks in compliance with safety and quality standards. Career path to Journeyman level is available. Please note: hours for this job will require you to work evenings at client locations. Working hours are approximately 5 pm CST - 5 am, Monday - Thursday. Transportation from our facility in Carol Stream will be available to/from client site. As an essential part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our fitness facility's electrical systems are in top working condition. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine electrical maintenance and repairs throughout the fitness facility, including lighting systems, electrical panels, outlets, and wiring. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Install and maintain electrical systems for new equipment or facility upgrades. Work collaboratively with other team members to assist with various projects around the facility, including remodeling, expansion, and equipment installations. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and local electrical codes. Communicate effectively with the facilities team and management to coordinate work and ensure the timely completion of tasks. Provide high-level customer service and respond quickly to emergency electrical issues as they arise. Ideal Candidate: Experienced electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and wiring in commercial settings. Strong ability to troubleshoot and solve electrical problems quickly and safely. Detail-oriented with a high standard for quality work. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with other departments and ensure smooth operations. Flexible and adaptable, able to jump into a variety of projects as needed. Previous experience working in a fitness facility or similar environment is a plus, but not required.
