Position Purpose and Objectives
This position is designed for a skilled Low Voltage Electrician or tradesperson who wants to expand into the fast-growing audio/visual (AV) integration industry. Key Responsibilities
AV System Installation
Install and terminate audio, video, and data cables using solder, compression, or crimp connectors.
Mount and secure displays, projectors, projection screens, speakers, microphones, cameras, and other AV hardware.
Rack and stack AV equipment per wiring diagrams and system schematics.
Commission and test installed AV systems to ensure performance and compliance with project specifications.
Low Voltage / Trade-Aligned Tasks
Drill, fish, and run cable through drywall, concrete, and conduit.
Perform cable pulls, conduit runs, and terminations.
Follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and verbal instructions to execute installations.
Maintain organized pathways and structured cabling standards.
General Construction Support
Safely operate hand tools, small power tools, lifts, and ladders (work often above 10 ft).

Work under the direction of Project Managers and Lead AV Technicians.

Job Summary

* Performs layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes and existing drawings.
* Adheres to all OSHA and Industry established regulations.
* Repairs or replaces wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
* Cuts, pulls, and terminates single phase conductors up to 500MCM 800-amp single phase.
* Drives vehicles equipped with tools and materials to job sites.
* Coordinates work assignment preparation and completion with other workers.
Job Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Master electricians license or equivalent experience
* Clean NYS diver license and reliable transportation
* Ability to travel on overnight assignments
* Experience with DC Power plants, and DC power distribution a plus.

Your daily role
⪠Change and modify blueprints after modifications have been made on equipment
⪠Install, maintain and repair secondary electrical systems such as but not limited to general wiring, lighting and communication systems
⪠Install, maintain and troubleshoot power distribution equipment systems, rotating equipment, motor drives, standby power systems and associate control systems
⪠Maintain and operate test and measuring instruments and equipment to determine functional operation of electronic and electrical systems
Your Profile
Five to seven years' experience as an Industrial Electrician
Associate Degree in Electrical Technology education or other related field
Ability to interpret and properly read an electrical diagram.
Ability to comprehend facility blueprints and schematics, initiate revisions when applicable and effectively troubleshoot panels and other related equipment for proper operation.
Ability to interpret and troubleshoot electrical systems when schematics are not available.
Ability to install and troubleshoot electrical circuitry
Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC's), Inverters (Variable Frequency Drives VFD's) and their associated devices and systems
Shift - 6 am to 4 pm (M- Th) December to May and 2 pm -11:30 pm (10 on 2 off) May to December

Job Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring
Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning
Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
Calibrate equipment to provided specifications

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an electrician program at a technical or trade school preferred
3-5 years of electrical experience required

Experience with low voltage wiring preferred
Experience with telecommunications systems preferred
Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work
Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems
Valid driver's license in state of practice
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel
Willing to work overtime
