Plan and layout work details in the assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical apparatus, control equipment and wiring used in industrial light and power distribution systems including equipment such as generating equipment, panels, automatic switches, variable frequency drives, complex circuit breaking units, transformer units, substations, and alarms. Troubleshoot and correct faulty wiring or electrical difficulties in motors, and other equipment. Diagnoses, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, upgrade and install all electrical/instrumentation equipment and systems. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings. Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine the best approach to completion of assignments in a safe, environmentally compliant manner. Safely use a large variety of hand and shop power tools. Complete all documentation by required deadlines. Document accurately and clearly in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in real time. Perform all incidental /associated work required to complete the job assignment. Work with minimal supervision and proactively communicate with manager. Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, efficient, and clean operating condition. Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations. Assist in performing other duties, including work of other trades as required. Physical Work Conditions - Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc. Able to work on roofs of buildings. Subject to call in work 24 hours per day, perform on call duties and overtime as required. Lifting to 80 lbs. Working from heights. Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead. Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot). Driving for long periods of time.
