**DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR JOB DUTIES**
The Electrician Foreman will be responsible for all the duties listed, but not limited to the following below: performs all duties and plans, coordinates and supervises the work of electrician journeymen engaged in installing, maintaining, altering and repairing of electrical systems and equipment. This includes repairing of electrical wiring and fixtures, fire and security alarms, and electric cell door locks. Ensures that work is in accordance with relevant codes. May install or service lights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems. Works under the general supervision of a Department Executive. The working Foreman is responsible for ensuring that all safety procedures are followed: trains new employees, plan and issue work schedules, discipline procedures, complete daily time sheets, overtime records and requisitions, order materials and distribute supplies and equipment. The working Foreman will directly supervise and coordinate activities of Sub- Foreman and tradesmen staff and schedule assignments. Along with duties inherent in the supervision of employees, the working Foreman may work directly with the public and is expected to facilitate a professional relationship. Work is performed in accordance with standard trade practices.
**Required Tasks**
* Coordinate, schedule, train and assign work to electricians.
* Supervise Electrician staff.
* Work independently with little supervision & perform other duties as assigned
* Conduct health and safety inspections.
* Directs, participates and supervises Electricians as well as coordinates the work of journeyman electricians and Apprentices.
* Assists and participates in the design, installation and repair of electrical wiring systems, electrical motors, generator, armatures and other electrical equipment.
* Assists and monitors maintenance, repair, installs, ruining of taxing lighting systems. Installs and direct the installation of telephone and computer systems, fire and security alarms, electric cell door locks and television and coaxial cables.
* Troubleshoots and tests electrical systems and related apparatus to locate source of malfunction.
* Inspects work in progress and upon completion; to insure that work meets established standards and electric codes.
* Coordinates the electrical work with other trades. Provided training and instruction to employees and perform other related duties as assigned.
* Plan, layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
* Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
* Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
* Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.
* Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
* Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
* Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
* Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
* Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
* Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
* Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors.
* Direct or train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
* Place conduit, pipes, or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
* Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
* Perform business management duties, such as maintaining records or files, preparing reports, or ordering supplies or equipment.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for providing the technical expertise to safely plan and perform electrical work for residential solar projects. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assemble all components of a residential solar system
