Want to get paid to become a piercer at Studs? Apprentices undergo a minimum 6-week paid piercing training program inclusive of classroom style learning, observation, and hands-on training. We are looking for Apprentices to join our training program that will kickoff in February at our NYC studio location. Upon successful completion of the program, graduated Apprentices will become eligible for PART TIME or FULL TIME Associate Piercer positions at our Mall of America studio.
Hourly Rate:
Graduated apprentices make $24/hour as Associate Piercers, plus tips
During the 6-week training program, apprentices make $18/hour, plus tips

Requirements:
3 years of relevant work experience
At least two years as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist (performing venipunctures and/or finger sticks) preferred
Full Time:
Must be available to work a flexible schedule up to 5 days per week (32+ hours), including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must maintain consistent availability
Weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) is required, excluding approved PTO
Schedules may vary based on business needs, and Full-Time employees are expected to prioritize Studs as their primary employment commitment
Part Time:
Must be available to work a flexible schedule of varying days and hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must have availability to work on Saturday and Sunday, excluding approved unscheduled time away

What you would do in this job
Performs electrical work related to the system process.
Maintains personnel protection system for fire, hydrogen sulfide, and hydrocarbon alarm systems.
Engineers, designs, and lays out electrical/electronic control circuits.
Performs electrical construction work. Verifies proper operation with collection/plant system processes.
Troubleshoots and repairs a wide variety of electrical/electronic equipment including PLC, VFD, MCC, telemetry, and SCADA systems.

Checks and maintains emergency service equipment.

Join The Team:
ERCO Worldwide is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Apprentice to join our E&I team! The E&I Apprentice will be responsible for supporting the maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems including distributed control systems (DCS), high voltage rectifiers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motors and motor control systems including variable frequency drives (VFDs), field process measurement devices (control valves, pH & ORP probes, temperature elements, pressure elements, level gauges, etc.). Assistance with maintaining electrical and instrument loop drawings. The Apprentice will conduct interlock checks, specify and procure repair materials and equipment for new and modified installations.
The Role:
Perform preventative and repair maintenance tasks for electrical and instrumentation throughout the plant (preventative techniques may include thermography, vibration analysis, etc.)
Conduct electrical and instrument troubleshooting and repairs on assigned equipment.
Specify, install and calibrate new electrical and instrumentation included in plant upgrades and modification.
Conduct safety interlock checks on a prescribed frequency; update electrical and instrument loop drawings as required.
Manage relevant work orders in the CMMS in support of preventative maintenance (PM) compliance (timely closure, etc.). Updates maintenance files, drawings and documentation. Ordering and control of repair materials.
Attend formal classes that support the Journeyman program. Log all necessary hours supporting training and other required documentation.
The Person:
High School Diploma required.
Diploma from a vocational institution in Engineering, Math, Science, Electrical and Instrumentation preferred.
Regular attendance and skills advancement requirements from technical college and state journeyman program for eligibility in program and hold a position in the maintenance department.
Effective written and oral skills.
Superior troubleshooting skills is a must.
Basic computer knowledge.
A background in heavy industry or the Chemical Process is advantageous.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Read schematic drawings and material lists, to determine required parts and any equipment prior to installing control panels in pump stations.
Install control panels in pump stations.
Lay out conduit runs prior to installation on pump stations.
Cut, thread and bend conduit, shoot studs, and support conduit and boxes on pump stations.
Run wiring through conduit after equipment and conduit are installed, using electrical schematic for guidance.
Mount various types of components on pump stations such as transformers, dialers, lights, and VFD's, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires education generally equivalent to 4 years of high school and 1-year related experience in electrical installation operations.

read and comprehend instructions and written materials relating to control panel installation, quality control techniques, procedural manuals, and safety procedures.
add, subtract, multiply, and divide and use shop mathematics to perform control panel installation work.
read electrical schematics and blueprints.

The Electrical & Controls Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of electrical systems within Roquette.

Compensation:
The current hourly rate for this role is estimated to be $34.18. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
What You'll Do:
Support and adhere to all safety requirements
Responsible for maintenance and improvement of electrical system within Roquette
Knows and understands DCS (Distributed control system), and PLC
Technicians are expected to understand and work safely with up to 480 volt equipment on controls portion
Technicians are expected to understand and work safely with up to 14,000 volt equipment on the electrical portion
Only technicians that are “high voltage qualified” will work with high voltage (over 600 volts) equipment
Position requires to have a working knowledge and understanding of motor starters,
VFD's (variable frequency drivers), control valves, KV valves, BMS (burner management systems), meters, switches, transmitters, and other control related devices
Perform in-depth testing and validation of these control devices utilizing a volt-ohmmeter, megger, amp meter, 475 filed communicator, and other test and configuration equipment
Assist in minimizing inventory cost through standardization and reducing unnecessary stock
Assist with the selection of most reliable hardware and wiring methods

Responsible to assist in job layout and maintenance of wiring and process related standards during installation

Recommend and preform preventative and predicative maintenance on E/C hardware installed as we all recommending improvements on existing equipment
Personal involvement with spare parts inventories for newly installed and existing systems with emphasis on minimum inventory and maximum benefit from that inventory
