Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Must possess the ability to learn and follow directives from leads. Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes. Perform electrical inspections and troubleshoot electrical issues. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams. Install and connect wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures. Test electrical systems for functionality and safety Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work area. Pre-job and Pre-task Planning Identify behavior and conditions, which jeopardize the safety of others. Question the need for additional safety precautions, if believed to be necessary for the safe completion of the job. Inspect all tools and equipment before each use to ensure good working conditions. Comply with site safety rules by following procedures and by wearing the prescribed PPE. Never take directions or changes to assigned work from Client personnel without first checking with the Supervisor. Attend daily toolbox safety meetings and scheduled training sessions.
