Accident/Incident Reporting & Investigation - Must follow the established procedures for responding and reporting accident and incidents. Duties and Responsibilities: * Install, repair or replace refactors, lamps, screw, bolts, washer, luminaries, photocells and associated streetlight equipment, * Uses graphic illustrations such as blueprints, schematic drawings and layouts in order to properly located, install and repair street lighting equipment, * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes, * Install, inspect, and test electrical distribution systems and components, * Diagnoses and troubleshoot faulty wiring and electrical systems, * Install and connect circuit breakers, electrical switches, and outlets, * Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices, * Be following OSHA and other applicable standards, * Troubleshoot equipment, electrical systems and control circuits * Read blueprints or technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems, * Follow specifications on blueprints or technical drawings, * Must wear proper attire at all times including PPE, * May be required to work extended hours including evening, night and weekends, * Perform additional duties as assigned. Job Requirements: * Minimum of 3-7 years of hands-on experience in commercial, government Electrical trade, * DC or Maryland current Journeyman's license, * Possess a current, valid driver's license (not under limitations), * High School diploma or equivalent desired, * Supervise and train apprentice electricians and serve as a mentor, * Advanced electrical systems training and manufacturing training, * Extensive technical knowledge of Electrical service and installation, * Work at various heights above ground and depth underground surface, * Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening. The electrician performs installation of electrical and systems construction elements of C3M projects. This role is primarily a Washington DC position, however traveling and interacting with multiple project teams across various locations throughout the U.S. is also available. Responsibilities Perform electrical installations on Transportation and/or Industrial Construction projects Provide input and coordinate with other trades on each project Maintain safety and quality standards on all installations and tasks Ensure code compliance by inspecting and testing electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards or needed repairs Maintain positive personal contact and relationships with management, staff, craft and the local unions Ensures that all activities are consistent with project plans, policies and procedures Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems. Prepares work area for installation of equipment. Installs electrical components. Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specification. Operates equipment only if trained and certified to operate. (Note: Powder activated tools, and JLG lifts and other operations that may require certification and training before operating). Sets up and operates tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers and cable vacuum systems. Be able to read blueprints and electrical drawings and install as specified. Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances per drawings or plans. Secure and lock up equipment after use. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
