Summary: Skilled tradesperson with a sharply focused skillset in the areas of high (13.2 kV), medium (4.1 kV) and low (480-120 V) voltage electrical distribution systems, emergency generators & switchgear with a deep understanding and experience in the field of new installation and maintenance of critical building systems in accordance with applicable codes. The Nationals are a military-friendly organization actively recruiting veterans and spouses. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Access CMMS to review & complete work orders.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, shop drawings, schematic manufacturer's specifications and other reference materials to determine appropriate job requirements and procedures.
Use variety of manual and power tools to support projects.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required in team-oriented, can-do environment.
Support baseball games and baseball related events before, during and post-game.
Support non-baseball events including but not limited to concerts, meetings, weddings and large gatherings.
Accurately maintain records of labor time, parts used, and work accomplished.
Complete, in a timely manner, required administrative paperwork and recordkeeping.
Operate equipment used in the maintenance of convention and arena facilities such as forklifts, high lifts, scissor lifts, and other maintenance equipment.
Set up equipment and tools for safe operation at job site.
Assist in maintenance and repair of systems and equipment including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire suppression, boilers and associated equipment. as well as general maintenance and upkeep activities.
Oversee and provide direction to contractors and or other labor providers.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment.
Ensure electrical repairs and or construction work is completed in accordance with applicable regulatory codes & standards.
Perform duties and responsibilities with view toward department goals and resource conservation.
Establish and maintain cooperative- working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Working knowledge of PC based computer applications.
Determine root causes of electrical failures and develop sound mitigation strategies.
Support maintenance strategies to support maximum uptime operation.
Responsible for conducting tests and inspections of equipment and services for the purpose of evaluating the performance of electrical equipment and systems.
Support temporary "event" service requirements ensuring compliance with applicable safety and regulatory codes.
Support 3rd party tenants and rental spaces within the ballpark.
Minimum Education, Experience & Transportation Requirements
REQUIRED: Possession of a journeyman electrician's license and four + years of applicable experience.
High school diploma or equivalent GED, or equivalent military experience.
Working knowledge of PC based lighting applications.
Direct experience working with high and medium voltage switchgear systems.
Direct experience in emergency power generation systems (Generator & ATS systems).
Valid driver's license.
Ability to respond to worksite within 90 min in the event of an emergency.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions
Understand the various electrical systems throughout the ballpark.
Read and understand building blueprints / files and schematics.
Knowledge of standard work practices and methods, OSHA safety standards, fire and building codes, Nationals policies and procedures, and hazardous material handling.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to understand and apply principles to solve practical problems.
Calculate fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Ability to effectively communicate via electronic means (e.g., handheld radio, cell phone, email and or text).
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, contractors and facility users.
Ability and eagerness to work in a team-oriented maintenance department where daily work activities will include tasks both within and outside of specific trade disciplines.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended workdays and extended number of consecutive days.
Physical/Environmental Requirements
Worker will be subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme heat, extreme cold, noise, hazards and atmospheric conditions (fumes, odor, dust, mists, gases or poor ventilation).
Job at times may require employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. May work at heights.
Requires an employee to perform strenuous tasks requiring strength, coordination, and balance.
Requires an employee to lift and move objects that weigh up to 50 lbs.
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
Requires an employee to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb (ladders, stairs scaffolding, ramps, etc.), reach, walk, or stand for extended periods.
Requires walking / standing of >3 hours per day.
Compensation: The projected annual salary range for this position is $25.42-$37/hour. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant's: qualifications, skills, expertise, education/training, certifications, and other organization requirements. Starting salaries for new employees are frequently not at the top of the applicable salary range. Inspects, tests and repairs fire alarm and smoke detection systems and equipment. Performs functional tests on safety switches and electronic control boards. Assists with mechanical adjustments and replacement of conveyor system components, as directed.
Cleans, lubricates, and adjusts circuit breakers and switches. Replaces contacts, relays, coils, and other components to ensure reliable operation.
Shapes and bends metal for brackets, braces, and supports. Cuts and drills copper bars for electrical contacts. Performs minor carpentry for equipment platforms and air deflectors. Duplicates keys as required.
Assists with temporary low-voltage setups for company events, including audio/visual systems and other related equipment. Provides support for seasonal or special installations requiring electrical connections. Operates company vehicles as needed.

**The Physical Side of the Role:** This is an active, hands-on role. You can expect to be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists.
