As a Industrial Maintenance Electrician you will be a vital part of our manufacturing team installing, maintaining electrical equipment. Operate, install electrical systems and preform functional of building and plant equipment.

Position Responsibilities:
Operate, install electrical systems and perform functional testing of building and plant equipment (e.g., machines, motor controls, room re-models)
Determine if system should be shut down or work must be performed with power source on
Lock out, tag out, try out equipment and related systems
Perform primary and secondary testing on electrical breakers during routine maintenance; replace, update and retro fit breakers
Perform routine tests on high voltage switches and relays, using hi-potential test equipment (Hipot), replace switch or relay
Troubleshoot electric motors using appropriate test equipment
Monitor current, voltage, amperage, frequency and watts hours at sub-stations using online computing system
Check and service electrical systems, using infrared analysis sheets to locate hot spots in service panel
Service and maintain electrical systems on various types of overhead cranes
Operate, install electrical systems and perform functional test of building and plant equipment (e.g., machines, motor controls, room re-models)
Install and perform routine maintenance on all types of lighting fixtures (e.g., fluorescent, halide, standard); clean and check sockets, and replace ballast and bulbs
Run high voltage electrical cable from sub-station to unit station; cut and splice cable, test cable for resistance
Install, replace and repair fiber optic cable for computers and computing systems
Bend conduit and install junction boxes; pull wire of various gauge and color through conduit using a fish tape; install and connect switches and outlets
Check work after completion or after each operation; ensure job is per drawing and WAC, NEC codes; evaluate job for work to be performed (e.g., wire size, electrical load, conduit)
Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g. tiger lift, spider lift, snorkel lift), to access work areas
Install wire, crimp, terminate, and solder using tools (e.g., crimpers, wire cutters, soldering gun) in plant electrical systems
Establish/verify voltage, amperage, frequency and watts using test equipment (e.g., circuit trackers, sonic circuit chasers, volt, amperage meters)
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of experience as an Electrician or Apprentice.
1+ years of experience maintaining industrial equipment.
Experience working from heights and using fall protection equipment with weight limitations .
Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift.
Must be able to complete fall protection training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Electrician license (EL01 &/or EL 07) or an electrical card.
Crane related experience.
Experience with prime power.
Typical Education & Experience:
High school graduate or GED preferred.

Apprentices are required to maintain minimum cumulative average of 80% and failure of any course will result in removal from the program. What You will Do
Depending on the trade, apprentices (or pre-apprentices) will learn to build vessel structures, hull components, piping systems, machinery installations and alignments, and prepare surfaces for painting or structural welding. The exact functions and responsibilities will vary by trade, and cannot be enumerated for all trades in this posting. For illustration, however, Marine Pipefitters fabricate and install all the piping systems on the ship. Ship Fitter/ Fabricators fabricate and install the many pieces that make up the hull of the ship and install equipment foundations and miscellaneous structural pieces. Welders weld everything for the ships, including the hull, foundations on the ship, and miscellaneous items. The general description of each of our trades can be found on our web site. In addition to learning the trade, specific functions common to all apprenticeships include:

What You Bring to Our Team

Position Responsibilities

Requirements
Maintain a valid driver's license and ability to drive a company truck or van.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Perform field inspection of energized electrical equipment including panelboards, disconnects, MCCs, vaults, and transformers, generally operating at low voltage (≤480V), with occasional work involving medium-voltage systems (5 kV-15 kV) such as transformers, junction vaults, switches, and switchgear.
Install and remove load monitoring equipment (current transformers, data loggers, etc.) for NEC 220.87 load studies.
Collect and record electrical system data for coordination, short-circuit, and arc-flash studies.
Prepare field reports, photos, and one-line markups documenting existing conditions.
Review electrical drawings for constructability and assist with QA/QC.
Follow NFPA 70E and LOTO safety procedures at all times.
Report directly to the Project Manager and collaborate with electrical engineers and designers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
* Graduate Engineer BSEE or BSME and no experience. OR Graduate of applicable
* Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent and three years minimum same or similar
* work experience. OR High school education or equivalent and four years minimum same
* or similar work experience.
* Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and various industry standards, such as OSHA and NFPA.
* Passed NETA (National Electrical Testing Association) exam.
* Strong background and experience in all types of switchgear testing through the 15 kV class.
* Good theoretical understanding of electrical power systems.
* Communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, with clients and peers.
* Good judgment, dependable, supervises projects with technical expertise and good business management skills.
* Strong computer skills including editing, formatting, and using templates in Microsoft Word, use of Internet for standards/products/manufacturer research, and operation of computer-controlled test equipment.
* Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and night work. Must be available for out of-town and international travel of up to several weeks.

The anticipated pay range for this role in the State of Washington locality is between $25 to $41 per hour-pay ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO (accrued up to 15 days the first year), holiday pay (9 days), and 401k.
