Perform advanced testing on circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motors, PTs, CTs, and cables using equipment such as Doble power factor test sets, low resistance ohmmeters, VLF test sets, and current injection tools
Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical issues using schematics, diagrams, and engineering resources
Inspect, maintain, and calibrate electrical equipment to ensure compliance and reliability
Apply NETA standards and OSHA safety protocols across all testing and maintenance activities
Lead field projects, mentor junior technicians, and ensure scope and deadlines are met
Document testing results, write detailed reports, and communicate findings with clients and leadership
Qualifications:
NETA Level III or IV certification preferred (not required)
5-7 years of hands-on testing experience with low, medium, and high-voltage systems (480V-750kV)
Strong knowledge of circuit breakers, transformers, motors, switchgear, PTs, and CTs
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology OR equivalent field/military experience
Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor junior staff
Proficiency with electrical test equipment and interpreting schematics/wiring diagrams
Excellent communication and reporting skills
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, work in field environments, and climb ladders as needed
