JOB DESCRIPTION As an ApprenticeElectrician you will work under the guidance of a Journeyman level electrician assisting in the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electrical systems on commercial work sites. The ideal candidate will be working towards a career in the trade with Diamondback Mechanical Group. An ApprenticeElectrician will:
Gather tools and supplies to be used at work site.
Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit.
Trace out short circuits in wiring.
Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors.
Maintain tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts in order.
Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
Help in securing, relocating and organizing materials, small tools, and equipment from and back to appropriate storage areas.
Keep work area clean by collecting and disposing of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
Assists in pulling wire, lifting, hoisting and positioning materials.
May operate hand tools and equipment under direct supervision of a Foreman or more senior electrician.
Assists in mounting and strapping conduit.
Assists more senior personnel in electrical installations, connections, and terminations under close supervision.
Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor.
An apprenticeelectrician will not work on energized circuits or equipment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree
MUST have Current State ApprenticeElectrician's License
MUST be able to pass a background screen
Valid driver's license
Ability to multitask while staying organized
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Positive customer service skills
Experience in lighting a plus!

About the Role
As an ApprenticeElectrician at Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, in Austin, TX, you will support licensed electricians with the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on construction jobsites. This role is ideal for someone pursuing a long-term career in the electrical trade who is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn in a hands-on environment.
What You'll Do
Assist electricians under direct supervision during electrical installations and repairs.
Handle, organize, and stage tools, materials, and equipment to support efficient workflow.
Perform conduit bending and conduit installation.
Install electrical equipment including switchgear, panels, starters, lighting fixtures, and controls.
Pull, terminate, and label electrical wiring per job specifications.
Install electrical devices and components as required.
Troubleshoot basic electrical systems under supervision.
Read and comply with safety rules, company policies, and MSDS documentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Demonstrate proper care and use of tools and equipment.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, and respirators when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance.
Who You Are
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Reliable transportation to and from jobsites required.
Willingness to apply for and maintain a State ElectricalApprentice License.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.

Work Environment
Regular travel to construction jobsites required.
Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to work at heights up to 90 feet and in confined or restricted spaces (switchgear rooms, crawl spaces, utility tunnels, attics).

Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
Ability to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with overtime and night shifts as required.

Below is the expected base hourly range for this position. This is a good-faith estimate, and offers will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.
