    SUMMARYUnder general supervision and in accordance with acceptable trade practices performs installation, repair, and replacement of electrical and electronic circuit control, motors, transformers, switchboards, and other equipment, and performs major and minor repairs and installations of all mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatically operated instruments and associated control components used in the plant, offices, and laboratories. Will works from blueprints, drawings, and sketches. Plan and lay out jobs and determine material and equipment requirements. Responsibilities & Duties Determine pipe, wire, and cable size requirements by calculating voltage, amperage, wattage, and resistance Diagnose motor and generator trouble and adjust, repairs, or replaces what's needed Install and maintain public address systems and intercom systems Operate all testing equipment such as voltage testers, voltmeters, ammeters ohmmeters and wattmeter's Clean and maintain all equipment such as oil and air circuit breakers, gang switches, busbars, cables, wiring, and insulators Maintain and repair electronic control circuits and equipment, photoelectric cell circuits and level controls Run wire, cable conduit, connect to power sources, install switch panels, junction boxes, and control panel Changes light bulbs and ballast of all types and replace fuses of any size used in plant Makes necessary openings, cut-outs as required by assignment Be familiar with changes in trade methods and practices Use a variety of testing and calibrating equipment and interpret observations Repair or replace malfunctioning instruments and equipment with a routine preventative maintenance schedule Connect and disconnect electrical connections and pneumatic or hydraulic fittings associated with instruments or components in a proper manner Repairs instrument parts using hand and power tools Maintains inventory of spare parts and notifies supervisor when supplies are needed Sets and performs necessary maintenance on time recorders throughout the facility Prepares reports concerning job assignment for equipment historical data Ensures a healthy work environment by maintaining all safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices Participate in all training required and assigned to maintain skill set All related duties and responsibilities assigned by Manager Skills: Know how to layout and perform electrical and electronic installations or repairs and install instruments and control equipment Know how to use a variety of testing and calibrating instrument Know how to read complex drawings, diagrams, specifications, conversion tables, and blueprints Know how to clean, adjust, calibrate, repair, and check operation of all kinds of electrical fixtures, panels, control boxes, and various instruments Know electrical and instrument codes sand keep abreast of changes Able to troubleshoot PLC machine based on input/output signals Physical and Working Conditions: Will be required to sit, stand walk, climb lift bond and carry Will be required to work indoors and outdoors Must be able to work under natural and artificial light Will be required to work from ladders and scaffolds Education: High School Graduate Certified Electrician 5 + years' experience as an Electrician
