Duties/Responsibilities: • Follow AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams to do testing of main electrical distribution AC/DC systems • Perform testing on various systems including HVAC system, lighting, receptacles, fans, fire alarm systems, battery system, and meggering of cables • Work closely with engineering and production team members to ensure accurate, efficient and timely execution of required testing work • Be able to troubleshoot assembly, wiring and testing problems • Drafts detailed technical reports to present findings; based on findings, recommends modifications needed to correct production problems • Perform other related duties as assigned Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Knowledge in testing of three phase AC and DC control circuits. • Good working knowledge of standard electrical testing and measuring equipment • Knowledge of Electrical Safety Procedures and NEC Codes • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to discuss product flaws in a constructive and positive manner. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare test reports and proposals. The Mobile Home Park (MHP) Electrician Laborer is responsible for assisting in installing, repairing, maintaining and testing electrical systems while maintaining compliance with nationals, state and local electrical codes and company policies and procedures. SAFETY * Responsible for ensuring OSHA standards and company safety policies are always complied with including but not limited to operation of tools, equipment and machinery. * Corrects unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately. Qualifications * Current State of California Electrician Trainee certification required. * A minimum of two to five years of experience working as an electrician on residential, commercial and/or industrial projects. * Basic understanding of residential electrical codes and installation methods * Ability to verify compliance and functionality of installations. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to listen and comprehend instructions accurately to learn products, processes, safety procedures, installation techniques and equipment use. * Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
