The Electrician Instructor is responsible for instructing students enrolled in the General Electrician program on topics related to the National Electrical Code, electrical installation, and maintenance of electrical systems. This position includes instructing students in a classroom environment as well as supervising students in a laboratory environment. The position may also include instructing students in a virtual, online environment. Responsibilities Instruct electrician students on NFPA 70 rules for electrical installations, wiring methods, conduit bending, troubleshooting, calculations and other materials in the General Electrician curriculum. Job Summary In this position, the apprentice/helper will assist the technician as needed with installation, maintenance, inspections, and light repair. This is an entry level position. The primary goal of this role is to learn all aspects of the trade. Our company offers on-the-job training and yearly wage increases as your skills develop. Starting pay is determined upon skills and experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Assist the technician with light repair and installation work. Observe and learn all aspects of the trade. Wear floor savers while in the clients home and maintaining a neat work area when performing a repair or scheduled service. Show yourself as professional and knowledgeable to win new referrals and repeat business. Always be courteous, respectful, and pleasant to the customer. Be accurate and timely with all paperwork. Obey the company Code of Ethics and the Team Rules. Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck. Always be safety conscious both on the job and while driving. Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings and retreats. Sensory demands include exposure to the smells associated with sewer and water, exposure to the sounds associated with power tools and construction sites, and exposure to dust and other debris associated with the use of power tools and current home conditions, all of which can cause sensory strain including headaches

The Mobile Home Park (MHP) Electrician Laborer is responsible for assisting in installing, repairing, maintaining and testing electrical systems while maintaining compliance with nationals, state and local electrical codes and company policies and procedures. Responsibilities Installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task. Properly follows all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Reports any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager. Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and materials. Follows direction of Foreman for daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite May be called upon to run small power tools such as jack hammer, drills, grinders, etc. Digs, spreads, and levels construction materials, tools and supplies. Lifts, carries and holds material, tools and supplies. Maintains regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components (not energized). Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as ammeters, or test lamps. Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures. Place conduit, pipes, or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes. Fasten small metal or plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches or outlets. Construct or fabricate parts, using hand tools, according to specifications. Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit or moving or lifting heavy objects. Other duties as assigned. SAFETY Responsible for ensuring OSHA standards and company safety policies are always complied with including but not limited to operation of tools, equipment and machinery. Corrects unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately. Qualifications Current State of California Electrician Trainee certification required. A minimum of two to five years of experience working as an electrician on residential, commercial and/or industrial projects. Basic understanding of residential electrical codes and installation methods Ability to verify compliance and functionality of installations. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to listen and comprehend instructions accurately to learn products, processes, safety procedures, installation techniques and equipment use.
