Summary of Position Functions The Electrical Journeyman installs basic electrical equipment and systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Essential Position Functions Manages daily production tasks. Follows company safety standards. Executes assigned task for electrical installation. Manages installations such that they meet all plans, specifications, applicable codes, or other governing documents. Requests direction and clarification from supervisor on production goals. Completes tasks in a timely fashion as assigned by supervisor. Possess advanced expertise in all aspects of trade related materials, components, equipment, systems methods of installation, safety procedures, safe work practices, sizing and other calculations, use of hand and power tools. Demonstrates proficiency and familiarity with use of proper hand and power tools and operation of related equipment. Models and mentors safe work practices at all times to co-workers and other industry team partners. Ability to read and accurately interpret project related drawings and documentation including plans, specifications, drawings, schematics, diagrams, sketches and blueprints to ensure proper installation means and methods. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time/workload. Ability to effectively complete time sensitive job duties and responsibilities. Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and staff. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
