Responsibilities: • Create a positive customer experience. • Assist in performing a thorough and accurate electrical inspection including Health and Safety Checklist and communicate findings to the customer in a written option sheet. • Assist in completing all electrical repairs and replacements to applicable code. • Assist in the completion of all required documentation on services and collects, records, and delivers fees to office administration. • Transport materials and tools to the job site and provide proper accounting of assigned tools. • Keep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried. • Follow state and local laws and regulations and adhere to local building codes. • Assist in preparing a detailed finding report with pictures for the Team Lead to discuss with the customer. • Present repair options to include cost using the options sheet. • Assist in recording all material used or consumed on the job for job costing and replenishing. • Understand when to issue a “Lock Out/Tag Out” tag and the required follow-up steps. • Protect customer's home from damage while working and leave customer's home cleaner than when you arrived. • Inform a team lead/supervisor/manager if the customer does not have electrical service before leaving the call. • Informs team lead/manager or team leader of any safety issues. • Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: • Pursuing State Electrical License preferred. • A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. • One to three years' experience preferred but not required in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting and correcting diverse electrical service issues. • A valid driver's license and approved to drive by Company's insurance carrier. • Must be highly organized with good attention to detail and follow through. • Possess good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals. • Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations. • Team player working in a team environment.• Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS. Often works in tight spaces such as attics and/or crawlspaces. • Able to lift 50 pounds with ability to push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices). • Occasionally work from heights up to 15 feet above ground. • Able to carry 24-foot extension ladder alone and/or 40-foot extension ladder with a fellow co-worker on most jobs. • Have good visual acuity. Essential Qualifications: * High school or equivalent * Must have mechanical knowledge * One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level) * Knowledge of electrician's tools and how to use them * Working on or above 600V or 69kV industrial high voltage distribution systems requires qualification * Must be NCCER certified * Written pre-employment qualification test * Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation * Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.) * Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.) * Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace Functional Requirements: Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, Provides access for future maintenance and avoids unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, Prepares sketches showing the location of wiring and equipment or follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring, Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit, Pulls wiring through conduit, Splices wires, Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment, Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels, Connects power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and installs grounding leads, Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement, May repair faulty equipment or systems, Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction. Compensation Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
