The Finishing Associate is responsible for performing a variety of finishing processes on metal parts, including deburring, grinding, cut off, polishing, buffing, and straightening. Utilizing tools such as hydraulic presses, sanders, micrometers, hammers, cutting machines, polishing wheels, drill presses and grinders, the associate ensures each part meets blueprint specifications with a high degree of accuracy
What you will be doing:
* Interpret blueprints, production orders, or Process Control sheets to determine part specifications, including the type and quantity of parts to be finished, and the appropriate process, machine, or equipment to be used.
* Finish parts to eliminate imperfections, following detailed written instructions, blueprints, or diagrams.
* Inspect and measure finished parts for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments such as gauges, micrometers, and templates.
* Complete assigned tasks within the designated time frame to meet production targets, while adhering to safety and quality standards.
* Report any concerns regarding safety, quality, processes, equipment, or materials to the Production Supervisor.
* Track and record the number and types of parts completed in the ERP system to ensuring accuracy
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are functioning and stored and correctly
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you will bring to the team:
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* At least two years of experience in metal finishing or related skills preferred.
* Basic mathematical, grammatical, and arithmetic skills.
* Ability to follow written safety, quality, and work instructions, as well as interpret diagrams and blueprints in English.
* Ability to assess machinery performance based on specifications such as fixtures, cutting speeds, or feed rates.
* Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance.
* Ability to bend, stretch, squat, and climb to access various parts of machinery.

Perform troubleshooting and problem identification and analysis. Make recommendations regarding corrective action and/or repairs
Generate technical reports detailing services provided, problems found, and corrective action taken or recommended

Minimum Qualifications / Experience
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent is required. Technician experience in the high voltage industry will be accepted in lieu of degree. Minimum 2 plus years of experience in the high voltage industry is preferred.
Possess skills in the following areas:
Demonstrated knowledge of The Power Triangle
Ability to understand the basics of one-line, three-line, AC/DC schemes, and connection diagrams
Demonstrate a solid understanding of the purpose of a current transformer and a potential transformer
Ability to perform basic current transformer tests
Ability to define typical AC & DC fundamentals
Working knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, ICEA, and NETA standards
Basic knowledge of various metering configurations and connections
Proven knowledge of Vacuum versus Air Circuit Breakers
Ability to understand the basic function and operation of an oil circuit breaker and a Gas Circuit Breaker
Ability to understand the basics of a Potential Transformer (PT), Coupling Capacitor Voltage Transformer (CCVT), and a Current Transformer (CT)
Understand the major components of a power transformer
Basic knowledge of motor ratings and motor testing as applied to rotating machinery
Proven knowledge of a capacitor bank and the different capacitor types
Basic knowledge of electrical components, devices, and symbols
Proven communication skills, both oral and written, to convey thoughts, and facts to a diverse group of individuals including administrators, engineers, and senior management
Demonstrated knowledge of the various functions and difference between protective relay types
Understand the purpose of primary and secondary phasing
Ability to work effectively in a team based environment
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to work safely in hazardous situations within high voltage substations, petrochemical plants, refineries, and other safety critical locations
Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record
Must have, or be able to obtain, a TWIC card
Must pass pre-employment Drug, Alcohol and Background Checks; must continue to pass all random and client required Drug, Alcohol and Background Checks
Ability to travel up to 25% with flexibility for frequent overtime required
Other Information:

In this role, you will support the high performance design process through analysis of high performance design strategies and concepts, primarily through performance modeling; develop and optimize analytical tools and processes to provide timely, design-relevant insight to internal design teams, partners and clients. Expertise of our most successful Building Performance Consultant II:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering (or another engineering discipline) from an accredited program; or commensurate degree and experience with building systems.
Advanced understanding of building systems across disciplines and proven experience in at least one discipline such as HVAC, plumbing/piping, electrical, lighting, instrumentation and controls, or building envelope systems.
Advanced understanding of major tenets of high performance design including renewable and alternative energy strategies, daylighting, embodied energy, indoor environmental quality, material composition, water efficiency, life cycle assessment, and built environment planning.
Ability to use at least one building system simulation tool, including EnergyPlus, IES-VE, TRNSYS, DOE-2 (eQuest), TRACE, CFD, or Radiance, for consulting and analysis. Strong understanding and application of simulation tools for the appropriate systems and technologies.
Experience in computer operation for building system analysis and engineering calculation programs.
Proficiency in use of CAD/BIM software as necessary for building performance analysis and consulting.
Understanding of applicable rating systems, design codes and standards, and ability to interpret them.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degrees, from an accredited university. Experience in substation design; successful candidates will have at least 3 years experience in substation engineering design with more senior level positions requiring 7 years or more in hands on engineering design. Senior applicants must be a licensed professional engineer with ability to become licensed in multiple states or must be able to gain license within one year of hire.
Familiarity with electrical relays currently utilized in the electric power utility industry
Experience in application of relays and metering in an electrical substation at 138kV and above
Experience in the design of electrical schematics for relay applications and control systems
Experience in the design of connection drawings and cabling
Relay coordination experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of AC/DC fundamentals
Knowledge and understanding of three phase power systems
Knowledge and understanding of per-unit mathematics and symmetrical components

The Finishing Associate is responsible for performing a variety of finishing processes on metal parts, including deburring, grinding, cut off, polishing, buffing, and straightening. Utilizing tools such as hydraulic presses, sanders, micrometers, hammers, cutting machines, polishing wheels, drill presses and grinders, the associate ensures each part meets blueprint specifications with a high degree of accuracy
What you will be doing:
•Interpret blueprints, production orders, or Process Control sheets to determine part specifications, including the type and quantity of parts to be finished, and the appropriate process, machine, or equipment to be used.
•Finish parts to eliminate imperfections, following detailed written instructions, blueprints, or diagrams.
•Inspect and measure finished parts for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments such as gauges, micrometers, and templates.
•Complete assigned tasks within the designated time frame to meet production targets, while adhering to safety and quality standards.
•Report any concerns regarding safety, quality, processes, equipment, or materials to the Production Supervisor.
•Track and record the number and types of parts completed in the ERP system to ensuring accuracy
•Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are functioning and stored and correctly

Requirements
