Pay Range: Pay Range $94,250.00 - $145,000.00 - $195,750.00

Zoox's Advanced Hardware Engineering team is responsible for the design, development, and innovation of sensor technology and the compute platform for our vehicles. In this role, you will work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team to design high speed digital and embedded systems in accordance with industry standards, best practices, and requirements.

Kforce's client, a growing Technology company in Tempe, AZ, is seeking a few Mid to Senior Electrical Controls Engineers. We are working directly with the Hiring Managers on these search assignments. This company offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, annual bonus, etc. As an Electrical Engineer, this role will provide technical solutions to other members of the technical staff on special projects and may function in a project leadership role. The Senior Electrical Controls Engineer will need to Interface with other organizations on new product updates to ensure a smooth transition of the product into the manufacturing cycle. This means working with a global, cross-functional team while utilizing excellent communication skills. Responsibilities:

* Successfully work and give input as part of a multidisciplinary project team, responsible for driving the electrical aspects of the project
* Responsible for the decisions on servo engines, sensors, PLC's, and other electrical components

* Design electrical drawings and specifications to meet the company's quality and innovative standards

* Give clear and articulate explanations about the logic and decision-making process used when presenting or discussing in technical meetings

* Create the electrical documentation during the design phase and ensure it meets the company's standards

* Participant in taskforce on technical escalations that are not solved by lower lines of support; Recognize trends and make improvements to prevent future issues

* BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, mechatronics, robotics or similar field

* 5-10 years of Electrical Controls Engineering experience

* Has strong analytical ability (university level); able to visualize, conceptualize, and solve problems

* Has the capability to lead conceptual, innovative design, from starting phase

* Is independent thinking, able to act as a sparring partner, and a team player

* Experience with PLC programming

* Experience with panel design is a plus

* Simulation knowledge (PSPICE, Matlab, Simulink)
