**The Role**
The Senior Analysis Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, and executing one-dimensional models of electrical components, subsystems, and full vehicle architectures for 12V/48V electrical systems. This role requires a deep understanding of vehicle-level electrical systems and proficiency in simulation tools such as Synopsys Saber. The senior analysis engineer is also required to have experience is co-simulation and software in the loop (SiL) modeling using tools like Matlab, Simulink and Simscape. The analysis engineer needs to closely work with suppliers to get high fidelity 12V component models (e.g battery, IBS, aggregator, CCU etc).
The analysis engineer will create systems model, perform simulation, interpret and present simulation results to stakeholders at critical program milestones. Analysis engineer will be required to interact cross functionally with a wide variety of engineering teams (Electrical Architects, Co-simulation teams, Validation, Calibration and Design Release Engineers) to deliver standard work, perform root cause analysis, compare analytical results to tests, identify analytical gaps and lead capability projects to close these gaps.
**What You'll Do**
+ Lead effort to develop new analysis capabilities for 12V/48V electrical systems including, but not limited to, developing 12V battery model, 12V distribution model, aggregator model and other electrical components on the vehicle
+ Develop physics-based models for co-sim and software in the loop effort
+ Develop vehicle electrical and battery electro-thermal models to support virtual controls for Co-Sim and calibration initiatives
+ Perform standard analysis to deliver design solutions which are robust and reliable utilizing optimization and statistical methods when appropriate
+ Collaborate with global analysis engineers to ensure on time delivery of high-quality results
+ Lead and conduct peer reviews of analysis results prior to delivery to the product team
+ Work collaboratively with Electrical Architects, SiL teams and component hardware design teams to ensure system requirements are met, design concepts are evaluated, and development and validation plans are successful
+ Collaborate with other CAE teams to capture and integrate higher fidelity models into electrical system models
+ Support critical vehicle program gates with technical reviews (PPDRs, VVAs, Peer Reviews)
**Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)**
+ BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Controls engineering
+ 5+ yrs of engineering experience in design, analysis or testing of 12V/48V electrical system or components
+ Proficient in Synopsys Saber simulator, MAST modeling language, and electrical data analysis tools including MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape
+ Skilled in developing models for Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) simulations
+ Experience with FMUs (Functional Mockup Unit) and co-simulation
+ Hands-on experience with Charge Balance, Fail-Operational, Bus Integrity, Short Circuit and other 12V/48V Component Sizing simulations
+ Strong foundation in engineering principles related to electric circuit analysis, electronics, electromagnetics, electric drive systems, control systems, and digital signal processing
+ Experienced in analytical modeling of electric generators, batteries, heating and cooling systems, lighting systems, and electronic controllers
+ Experience in applying Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) methods

Process Control / Technical Service Engineers can work on a wide array of projects in support of the process control systems installed throughout the refinery and products movements areas. The process control systems in the refinery provide real-time control and data acquisition functions in support of operating the refinery process and electrical equipment. Typical college co-op assignments include the following: troubleshooting system power supply problems, control system programming, hardware and software lifecycle replacement projects, installing and troubleshooting communication networks and monitoring control system performance metrics.

Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Project Engineers work on a variety of real-world electrical and instrumentation projects in a refinery setting. During your time at MPC, you will develop and utilize project management skills including scope alignment, cost and schedule development, and teamwork through multiple engineering phases. You will also support the area teams. We are committed to developing engineers into professional project managers who successfully manage projects of all sizes.
Reliability Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineers troubleshoot Electrical & Instrumentation issues at the refinery. As a reliability intern, you will help analyze failures of equipment, develop solutions for recurring equipment difficulties, submit Project Request Forms (PRF's) to implement solutions, and understand equipment maintenance strategies. There will be opportunities to use electrical analysis software to solve coordination issues and run Arc Flash studies for the power system, as well as learning and understanding about how our critical Refinery Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) are applied.
Process Control / Technical Service Engineers can work on a wide array of projects in support of the process control systems installed throughout the refinery and products movements areas. The process control systems in the refinery provide real-time control and data acquisition functions in support of operating the refinery process and electrical equipment. Typical college co-op assignments include the following: troubleshooting system power supply problems, control system programming, hardware and software lifecycle replacement projects, installing and troubleshooting communication networks and monitoring control system performance metrics.
