Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Job Functions
Create electrical harness drawings using logic data from Mentor Graphics and 3D routing data from CATIA
Create installation drawings using CATIA v5 and MS PowerPoint
Design and develop moderately complex vehicle components and systems.
Apply Engineering and CAD principles to design vehicles that are safe, reliable, serviceable and competitive.
Generate and implement ideas to continuously improve work environment, systems, tools, processes as well as product cost and quality
Work independently and meet deadlines
Other activities as necessary and/or assigned
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Proficiency in CATIA v5 required
Electrical harness routing and clipping in 3D environment is required
Experience in applying basic industry drafting standards is required
Proficiency in Mentor Graphics/L-Cable preferred
Experience with cab/engine/transmission harness layout/routing is preferred
Bracket design with GD&T experience is preferred
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Education:
* BSME/EE preferred, but NOT REQUIRED.

Key Responsibilities: As an Electrical Design Engineer II at Interface, you will be taking ownership as a discipline contributor on multiple projects. You will have a developed understanding of construction drawings and a basic understanding of engineering principles. You will perform design/modeling tasks and will actively seek mentorship from senior staff. Your duties will include (but may not be limited to):
Preliminary electrical design and layout
Document delivery coordination
Preliminary load calculations
Researching commercially available equipment
Design drafting
System design with direction from mentor and/or senior engineer
Provide exemplary customer service to internal team members and clients
What You'll Bring:
Required:
BS, Electrical Engineering
3+ years' MEP/AEC design and consulting experience
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of building codes and standards
Ability to perform multiple functions in multi-deadline changing operations
Ability to work effectively within a team-orientated, collaborative environment.
Preferred:
A Professional Engineering License
LEED Accreditation
Working IES-VE knowledge
