We are seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer (PE) with strong design expertise and project management experience to lead federal infrastructure, water/wastewater and industrial projects. This role blends hands-on engineering with leadership responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who thrives in both technical and client-facing environments.
The position is hybrid and can be based in Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA; Irvine, CA; Concord, CA; Carlsbad, CA; or Phoenix, AZ.

As a Senior Professional Electrical Engineer, you will:
Lead the design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, including substations, switchgear, and standby generation systems
Perform electrical calculations and power system analyses using SKM Power Tools, ETAP or similar software
Design lighting, controls, and similar low-voltage systems
Develop electrical plans and specifications for complex projects (e.g., federal, water/wastewater, industrial, transportation)
Conduct site investigations and coordinate with clients, utilities, and code officials
Review shop drawings and support construction services
Prepare cost estimates using RS Means or similar tools
Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 820, and other relevant codes and standards
Supervise and mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Define project scope, schedules, budgets, and objectives using lessons learned
Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies
Manage client billing, subcontractor/vendor payments, and ensure profitability
Develop and implement project resource plans, including staffing and procurement
Provide coaching and performance feedback to project staff
Build and maintain strong client relationships through quality project execution
Identify opportunities for change orders and repeat business

Position Overview
The Automation/Controls Engineer is a key member of the plant leadership team, focusing on electrical systems in the plant as well as control schemes - particularly as they apply to automation projects. This role is one of two Electrical and Controls Engineer II positions in the plant, supporting ongoing plant operations, helping set growth and migration targets for future state and is a critical contributor to any new plant projects.

The Phenix City, AL. facility swings between 24/5 to 24/7 with a variety of occasional alternate schedules to satisfy our customer's needs; we are a manufacturer of a number of mineral wool insulation products including industrial boards of various densities, batts for use in commercial building applications and a wide range of pipe insulation.
Your Day to Day:
The following duties and responsibilities are presented as broad expectations for this role; understanding the major focus area within each are the electrical and control aspects:
Maintain safety, product quality, and manufacturing effectiveness through daily troubleshooting and resolution of process difficulties.
Drive the continuous improvement of product quality, which will include a firm understanding of customer, manufacturing process capability, and development of semi-finish and finish product specifications.
Support and promote safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements.
Create a compelling manufacturing operations vision that aligns with the plant and JM's goals and core values.

The environment is not climate controlled and employees must be able to work in environments that may be extremely hot and humid or cold depending upon the operation and the season. Walking surfaces can be wet, dusty, and uneven. Areas of the building where work must be done have high noise levels, vibration, and/or fumes. Some working areas contain the presence of airborne particles which can irritate the skin or eyes. Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment which includes safety toed shoes, ear protection, eye protection and in certain areas may be required to wear dust masks, gloves, respirators, or head protection.

The primary function of this position is to facilitate Repair and Limits design tasks, including Project Engineering, technical writing, and Repair and Limits Design. Secondary responsibilities will be varied but include general project management and support of various Aftermarket/CIPT/CAIPTs responsible for various GTF hardware at CEC in Columbus, GA. This position is a key role within ASE as it provides a direct engineering link to the commercial aftermarket.
Candidate should be customer focused as well as technically proficient and capable of effective and professional technical communication, since this role will include direct interface with aftermarket operations, program management, and Engineering management.
* Work as an onsite representative of ASE supporting Repair and Limits Design tasks and CIPT/CAIPT engine/hardware investigations and dispositions.
* Coordinate and influence resources to meet technical, development and production requirements
* Monitor and trend hardware health for limit updates, product improvement, and repair activities.
* Liaise between Aftermarket Operations and Engineering regarding design tasks and investigation scope and implementation.
* Prepare and present status and technical content to cognizant Pratt & Whitney stakeholders.
* Facilitate or complete the evaluation of incoming tasks and hardware non-conformances.
* Support (Repair and Limits) Design team in the resolution of EagleNet cases raised by Aftermarket Operations.
Qualifications You Must Have:
* Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field
* Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills and experience to effectively communicate with audiences ranging from operations to the executive level.
* Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems to provide enhancements within job area.
