Our engineers are well versed in new construction, renovations, additions, analysis, special structures, and design/build projects for a variety of clients. The Junior Electrical Engineer will work with Architects and Engineers as part of a project team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications and reports. Duties shall include lighting calculations, power distribution design, circuit and feeder calculations, and power, telecommunication, security and systems layouts. Typical projects will involve field work, design, and construction administration services. Candidates will work on an interesting variety of project types including K-12 and higher education, municipal, health care, large commercial, residential and other unique projects. Duties Work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports. Prepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD. Perform lighting calculations and arc flash studies. Perform field investigations to document existing conditions. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with co-workers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees. Expected to improve current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types, and continually strengthens skills. Requirements An interest in building systems, and a curiosity to want to learn more. Bachelor's or Associates Degree in electrical engineering or related field required. EIT certification is a plus. Background in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred. Experience in the A/E consulting business is a plus. Strong writing, organizational and communications skills. Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
