The BMS/Controls Engineer will be responsible for the design of Facility/Building Management Systems (FMS/BMS) and data center controls for general and emergency lighting systems, switchgear, standby generators, MV and LV distribution, UPS systems and associated battery cabinets, door access control and CCTV systems with primary emphasis on Power Modules, IT Modules and Data Centers. The BMS/Controls Engineer will design to customer specifications and requirements and will support all Controls inquiries and business development activities throught the course the assigned project. The Engineer will provide general Controls configuration designs for Data Centers, Telecommunications Central Office, Switching Centers, Video Hub Offices, etc. and will work directly with the module integration facility to develop a detailed drawing package for the integration of all FMS/BMS systems. The Engineer will provide FMS/BMS riser diagrams, Input/Output tables, programming parameters for specific BMS software, Sequence of Operations for the data center operation, etc. This Individual will coordinate the testing of the facility FMS/BMS systems with Electrical, Architectural and Mechanical (Thermal) designs and participate in the Factory and Site Acceptance Testing and commissioning when required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in electronics test engineering, with a strong focus on RF and wireless technologies. Proven experience in developing test processes for Bluetooth and LTE products. Direct experience with roll-to-roll (R2R) manufacturing test environments and challenges is highly desirable. Proficiency in test automation scripting (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, C#). Strong understanding of RF test fundamentals, including S-parameters, noise figure, EVM, power, and spectral purity. Awareness of RF hardware and signal integrity principles (e.g. impedance matching, filtering, shielding, and isolation) - to ensure accurate and repeatable test measurements. Familiarity with various RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes. Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for manufacturing test. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with embedded systems and firmware testing. Knowledge of industry standards for Bluetooth (e.g., Bluetooth LE, Classic) and LTE (e.g., Cat-M1, NB-IoT). Ability to travel internationally up to 15% Experience with design for testability (DFT) principles. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001). This position works closely with other engineers, project managers, and Client team members in support of both capital and operational improvement projects. This position requires implementing sound engineering principles to ensure project designs are safe and at the industry's cutting edge. Requirements Experience * Two (2) to Six (6) years of experience as an industrial control system/automation engineer. * Industrial electrical design experience in the following industries preferred: Consumer Goods, Renewable Energy; Gas Processing, Chemical, Power, Waste Management or Pharmaceutical. Education * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or equivalent experience is required. * Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 Scale. Qualifications * Interest and experience with computer programming are highly preferred. * Exposure to electrical design and calculations. * Exposure to PLC logic, HMI interface logic, system communications, elementary diagrams, control panel layouts or instrument specifications is preferred. * Engineer in Training (EIT) registration or ability to obtain such is highly preferred. * Willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
