We are looking for a passionate Power Electronics Controls Engineer to help expand the Emporia Energy hardware ecosystem - initially by working on our upcoming Bidirectional EV Charger. Work will involve owning control loop design and verification for both AC/DC and DC/DC power converters and contributing to needed V2G, G2V, and V2H control designs. As a senior member of the Hardware Development team, the ideal candidate will be expected to work closely with and provide mentorship to peers and junior members of the team, as needed for this cross disciplinary project. Throughout, they will demonstrate the strong analysis, design, and test skills required to produce the reliable, low-cost hardware that our customers expect. Develop design verification test plans, requirement compliance matrices, system integration and qualification test plans, and production acceptance test plans for power converters and power supply designs. Perform bring-up and design verification testing of power electronics circuits and modules, often working with a technician or junior engineer to complete design verification.
