Electrical Engineering Intern - Electric Power Software and Modelling Florida Municipal Power Agency (FMPA) is a wholesale power agency owned by municipal electric utilities in Florida. FMPA's mission is to provide power that is low-cost, reliable and clean, as well as provide value-added services for its owner-customers. FMPA is looking for a qualified student to be part of our Engineering Services Department working on a variety of assignments related to modeling, mapping and power system analysis for electrical systems at FMPA's electric power plants as well as electric distribution systems of FMPA's member utilities. Position Status Full Time for Spring 2026 Job Overview The selected student would be responsible for updating or creating one line and three line diagrams in AutoCAD. Settings review in ETAP PowerStation (modeling of large electric power plants). Produce bid documents consisting of layout drawings, one-line, riser, schedules, details, and specifications. No experience in these software platforms is required. FMPA Engineers and Member Services staff will provide oversight, guidance and the necessary training in the use of the software platforms.
