SUMMARY:
This position is within the MAHLE North American ElectricalEngineering Organization. The group is responsible for the interface between the customer and the electrical component suppliers from Acquisition to Series Production.
The intern will be primarily responsible for maintaining and improving the warranty return process for electrical components with focus on brushed and brushless blower motors. Additional, projects will be assigned as workload allows (e.g. create and run new electrical test procedures, performance test engineering samples, fabricate wire harnesses/controllers, group intern projects).

What you'll do:
Job Summary
As a Design Engineer Intern at Eaton's Mission Systems Division you'll be a member and active contributor of a Product Development Team. In this role you'll have the opportunity to utilize skills and theory learned in the classroom and apply them to real-world problems in the Aerospace Industry.
Job Responsibilities
* Apply fundamental mechanical or electrical principals and physics to designs.
* Complete basic engineering investigations and tasks as assigned.
* Collaborate with experienced engineers to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems.
* Participate as a team member, help define/refine methods, and actively contribute towards team goals.
* Follow technical documentation requirements and engineering processes.

Qualifications:
Education level required
* Must be enrolled and must be at least a Junior in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, ElectricalEngineering, or BS Engineering Technology.
* Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).

Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
A. Degree: Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.

B. Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.

GTI supports defense, energy storage, data center, and industrial infrastructure markets, delivering fully integrated modular solutions manufactured in-house at our Buffalo, NY facility.
Position Overview
GTI Fabrication is seeking an ElectricalEngineer with a strong focus on electrical design and drafting to support modular manufacturing programs. This role is heavily centered on creating and maintaining electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation using SolidWorks Electrical. The ElectricalEngineer will work closely with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to ensure electrical designs are accurate, manufacturable, and aligned with project requirements from concept through production.
This is a design-forward, execution-oriented role embedded in the manufacturing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and panel layouts using SolidWorks Electrical
Create, maintain, and revise electrical drawing packages to support manufacturing and assembly
Develop electrical designs for modular systems, industrial equipment, and containerized solutions
Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure proper electrical-mechanical integration
Apply drafting standards, title blocks, revision control, and documentation best practices
Support engineering change requests and update drawings based on production feedback
Participate in design reviews to ensure electrical designs meet functional, safety, and manufacturability requirements
Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical issues during build, test, and integration
Provide technical clarification and design support to manufacturing and production teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in ElectricalEngineering or a related technical discipline
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in electricalengineering, electrical design, or drafting-focused roles
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical, including schematic design and wiring documentation
Experience producing electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams for industrial or manufactured systems
Solid understanding of electricalengineering fundamentals and circuit design
Working knowledge of industrial electrical power systems and controls
Ability to manage multiple design tasks with strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting manufacturing or fabrication environments
Familiarity with panel design, harnessing, and field wiring practices
Experience working with modular, industrial, or containerized systems
Exposure to production support or shop-floor engineering
Experience collaborating across mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams
