Key Responsibilities:
Team Management: Manage and supervise an industrial engineering team, providing technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior staff.
Technical Oversight: Independently oversee and provide expert guidance on complex electrical system designs to meet client project requirements.
Compliance Review: Review draft designs for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and sign off on completed designs.
Policy Adherence: Ensure all designs follow firm policies, quality, and practices.
Site Reviews: Perform site reviews and studies to ensure designs align with location specifications, updating design requirements as necessary.
Knowledge Contribution: Develop white papers and technical design documentation for new or special case designs, and submit technical papers for publication in journals.
Proposal Collaboration: Work with sales staff to create proposals in response to RFPs, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices.
Client Engagement: Meet with current and potential clients to review their design needs and provide technical guidance.
Industry Visibility: Attend conferences and symposia to enhance the visibility of the firm's products and services.
Primary Contact: Act as the main point of contact for external clients and industry contacts, collaborating with clients and government officials to clarify technical questions.
Project Updates: Provide updates to project management as necessary.
Mentorship: Mentor junior staff to develop their skills and prepare them for future growth within the firm.
