Washington DC Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Washington DC is $24.00 to $43.50 per hour. The Electrical Design Engineer is experienced in the design of electrical and fire systems for the commercial real estate development industry. The role of this position will be implementing new and maintaining existing equipment for the bearing manufacturing processes at RBC - Aircraft Products. The scope of this role includes identifying opportunities to reduce costs with improved equipment and systems, supporting the troubleshooting and repair production equipment to improved utilization, improvement of existing equipment control systems, developing additional functionality to production equipment, and developing/maintaining a system for tracking equipment control software.
Principal Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair equipment that is down for control and electrical system issues.
Add additional functionality to production equipment.
Maintain a system for keeping track of control software.
Qualifications
A BS in electricalengineering or a combination of trade school education plus experience of 5+ years of experience working with machine controls.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of machine tool controllers, including troubleshooting, repair and programming.
Knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting and repair.
Knowledge of PLC programing
Ability to work well on teams.
Good organization skills
Responsive to customer needs
