Your role at Clorox:
As part of the Clorox Electrical Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Team, you'll take on impactful projects that drive both personal and professional growth. Our team, within the Global Technical Services (GTS) organization, is focused on delivering manufacturing breakthroughs, product innovations, cost savings, and supply assurance with excellence.
We design, construct, and launch complex automation and technology projects, working closely with packaging, process, and project management teams. Our goal is to deliver reliable, safe equipment that optimizes manufacturing and supports Clorox's growth.
In this role, you will:
Autonomously lead electrical engineering efforts through all phases of capital projects - conceptual, feasibility, scope definition, cost estimates, functional requirements, system design, scheduling, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, startup, and validation.
Demonstrates proficiency in developing and managing estimates, financial analysis, contracts, and purchase orders. Includes the use of Clorox Early Management principles and activities to deliver customer expectations with vertical and sustainable project execution.
Support system start-up and operational checkout on systems including configuration, wiring, calibration, and power testing. Provide hardware and software application support assistance to engineers and operations.
Provides significant contributions and technical leadership for major technology efforts in the organization, either as an individual or team member.
Utilize technical materials such as equipment manuals, system drawings, P&IDs, schematics and blue prints to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/control systems. Interpret industry, regulatory, and company specifications and standards and apply to projects.
Implement capital building & equipment installations and to improve manufacturing competitive performance.
Works in a participative team-based environment, using manufacturing best practice processes and principles, plans and leads the design and implementation of multiple medium to large sized projects, programs, and manufacturing improvement projects that include the integration of outside technical resources.
Development of manufacturing equipment, processes, and procedures essential to line extensions, product improvements, and new product development.
Manage project scope, schedule, and finances to meet predetermined Clorox business objectives.
Provide technical analysis, project cost and schedule estimation, engineering effort forecasting, design recommendations, preparation of design and equipment specifications, design, review of design documents, development of construction sub-contract documents, and lead construction, commissioning, and start-up activities at plant facilities.
Deliver project safety performance objectives.
What we look for:
Engineering Degree (BSEE or similar) (MBA / MS is a plus)
8 years of engineering or operations experience in manufacturing (CPG, Foods, discrete manufacturing is preferred)
Position will require the candidate to be in manufacturing environment with rotating equipment, elevated surfaces, temperature variations etc.
Experience applying NEC, ANSI, IEC, NEMA, and NFPA standards
Strong technical skills related to electrical/instrumentation and controls, strong knowledge of industrial power distribution, and strong knowledge of Rockwell's control system and devices.

Summary (Position Description): The Controls & Engineer will work to develop and engineer refrigeration control systems from concept to the implementation by working with team member and vendors. This position will be responsible for the design, engineering and development of controls systems utilized in the refrigeration and process industries. Candidate will design and specify control system architecture requirements including PLC/controller, Network, Power distribution, Motor control, IOs, and instrumentation devices. Candidate needs to collaborate and work with cross functional team: Mechanical, Controls Programming, Field Install, and management team to ensure the control system meets the functional and standards requirements. The Electrical Controls Engineer will develop and prepare documentation for control system IO, Point to Point and field requirements, electrical panel drawings and BOMs and sensor connection details. This role will prepare a handover package of the project design and be the technical lead during the kickoff meeting with project operations team and be the primary technical support for any Q&A during production and implementation.

Duties & Tasks:
• Conduct site surveys, individually or as part of a team, to gather necessary information to prepare a control system conceptual design.
• Preparation of project design documentation including Inputs/Output (IO) Lists, Point to Point wiring requirements, plant layout drawings.
• Development of project technical scope, labor and material estimates, and preparation of proposal text.
• Coordination and review of control panel drawings and electrical field drawings.
• Perform control panel design and engineering, for control panels which may include multiple variable speed motor controls and/or PLC controls and related circuitry. Variable speed drives may be up to 500HP (460V) for single drive panels or may include numerous smaller drives and other motor circuits within a single panel. Each panel is unique and requires calculation of circuit loads, fault interrupting capacity and other factors to achieve safe and reliable design, plus compliance with UL508, NFPA and other standards.
• Design PLC control panels, including hardware application and selection, sensor circuitry, communication networks and methods. Possible PLC controls include a wide range of manufacturers and models (Allen-Bradley, Wago, Emerson/GE, etc.).
• Improve existing and develop new tools to simplify and automate the process of designing, estimating, and proposing control panels; to be integrated with sales, purchasing, and manufacturing processes.
• Provide pre-sales support for project proposal, customer contact and customer service response as needed.
• Organize and lead site walk and survey to complete to finalize the full control system design, including walking scope with potential electrical, mechanical, and field installation subcontractors. Develop handover package documents for the full control system design for review with Operations personnel in kickoff phase.
• The primary industrial platforms are Allen Bradley, Rockwell, Emerson, GE Fanuc, Wago, WEG, Wonderware, etc., and often include variable speed drives and communications with other equipment and devices, as well as enterprise networking. Projects typically involve large industrial refrigeration systems and related controls, and may include control of other energy using systems, such as air compression, lighting, HVAC, pumping systems, boilers, etc.
• Assist with projects which could include PLC programming, software testing, troubleshooting and performance verification.
• Assist with new project development (e.g. packaged equipment controls).
• Assist with system startup and commissioning.

Qualifications:
The current job is the implementation of the new Zetron system in Delta's OCC (Operations and Customer Center) and the installation of the Zetron media dock component in the RCC (Reliability Center).
Zetron is the air to ground radio and phone system used by the OCC and ATL Radio.
The project is in two locations.
At the RCC, the contractors will be removing the current and installing the new peripherals, as well as doing the necessary cable management and hookup of the new peripherals to the Zetron media dock.
At the OCC, the work consists of deinstallation of current Zetron at 199 positions and the subsequent installation of the new system at 225 positions.
The schedule of work in the OCC will depend on the final cutover plan to be determined in the next two weeks. It is currently planned as 8 hour shifts, 5 days per week, working a rotating schedule Sunday through Saturday; the start times are unknown currently but likely to be 0600.
At the RCC, the equipment to be deinstalled and installed includes:
