Electrical Hardware Engineer Annapolis Junction, MD
World leading ISR and defense Electronics Company is actively seeking qualified applicants for the position of Electrical Hardware Engineer responsible for design and integration of electronic products, business development efforts and innovative R&D activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Create hardware design solutions such as cables, wiring, digital hardware and firmware design, microprocessor\-based board level design, motherboard design, digital signal processing, and real time embedded multiprocessor design.
· Research, develop, design, and test RF and digital components, equipment, and systems, applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering.
· Oversee engineering life cycle of hardware products including architecture, design, and implementation.
· Write functional specifications, requirements specification and test procedures.
· Design product solutions and features using hardware description languages, CAD tools, and other tools as necessary.
· Manage all schematic entry.
· Responsible for Printed Circuit Board Assembly process, oversee assembly line and assist in debugging malfunctioning hardware.
· Revise engineering documents by incorporating ECNs, according to Configuration Management standards
· Work closely with quality assurance in identifying bugs and building fixes.

· B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from a four\-year college or university.
· Three to five years of experience in electronic hardware design.
· Experience with system level tests and integration.
· Experience with RF design and RF test equipment
· Experience with electronic production processes
· Experience with implementation of communication protocol (SPI, I2C, TCP, UDP, etc.)
· Experience with FPGA design
· 10% to 20% travel required; domestic and international.
Candidates must document US citizenship as required to obtain secret clearance. Candidates must document US citizenship and active security clearance at Secret level or above.
