We are seeking a highly capable Field Engineer who thrives in client-facing environments and has a strong background in networking and end-user support. This role plays a critical part in the success of Cortavo's managed service delivery model handling everything from complex onsite issues and installations to remote troubleshooting and documentation. This position demands the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and respond positively to sudden changes in priorities. The Field Engineer represents Cortavo directly with clients and their end users, and is expected to demonstrate technical proficiency, clear communication, and an ability to adapt to evolving needs and schedules. This is a hybrid field role requiring: Onsite support at client locations at least once per week (or more, based on the discretion of the hiring manager) Travel on short notice to other client sites when needed Occasional overnight travel, including multi-day deployments *When not onsite, the Field Engineer will provide remote support and collaborate with internal teams to close tickets and improve documentation. This role has dual reporting to the Service Delivery Manager and the Service Delivery Team Lead. Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional onsite and remote support for Cortavo clients and their end users Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot workstations, laptops, printers, and networking equipment Act as the technical face of Cortavo building trust through professionalism, punctuality, and accountability Maintain detailed and accurate ticket documentation, including timekeeping, notes, and scheduled tasks Support Office 365, Windows 11, MacOS, network connectivity, VPNs, and basic server administration Image and deploy devices as part of client onboarding and refresh initiatives Conduct new user orientation and “first day” training on equipment and support access Maintain clean and organized workspace setups, ensuring cable management and presentation standards Respond to shifting priorities and travel on short notice as client needs arise Stay overnight at client locations when required, sometimes for multiple days Track and restock inventory in vehicles and field closets Assist with RMAs and warranty claims for damaged or failed equipment Maintain and write accurate knowledge base articles as you come across knowledge and information while working cases. We design and build food and beverage production facilities. Job Responsibilities: * Lead engineering team to design, develop and verify complex circuits, modules or systems to meet requirements * Lead engineering efforts to support production to resolve manufacturing issues or field failure investigation * Create engineering design guidelines, work instructions and checklists for design consistency and process improvement to reduce future development cost * Lead efforts to improve design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA) and design for test (DFT) * Provide technical leadership for new and on-going projects * Act as technical liaison with Manufacturing, Operations and Program Management * Provide technical expertise and experience to assist Program Managers and Technical Project Managers to develop cost estimate and integrated master schedule to ensure they are clearly defined Required Qualifications: * BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Master's preferred) * Ideally 6+ years electrical/hardware engineering experience * Experience with airborne electronic hardware certification process. * Experience using hardware engineering design tools, such as Cadence Concept, Cadence Capture, Allegro PCB Designer, SPICE, HyperLynx, Mentor Graphics Valydate * Expert knowledge in the use of digital test equipment such as spectrum analyzer and high-speed oscilloscopes. * Experience with design documentation and interpreting customer requirements * Experience multi-tasking on multiple projects * Experience leading projects Preferred Qualifications: * An active DoD Secret Clearance * Experience with high-speed digital interfaces such as FPGA, PCIe, SATA, I2C, ARINC 429, Ethernet * Experience with military test standards, such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-704 * Experience with Video input and output processing * Experience in Power Design * Experience working on proposals and schedule/cost estimates * Experience with Intel CPU design * Working knowledge of VITA design standards (VITA 42, 46, 62, 65) Locations: * This position is hybrid and can be located at one of the following Mercury Systems Locations: * Andover, MA * Hudson, NH * Huntsville, AL * Gulf Breeze, FL * Alpharetta, GA * Phoenix, AZ * Cypress, CA * Torrance, CA * Enjoy every other Friday off with our 9/80 work schedule! This role, part of the Front-End Innovations (FEI) Team, focuses on hardware-centric proof-of-concept development, analytics, and rigorous testing to validate new product concepts for the PROCELL B2B business. The position emphasizes data-driven decision-making, hardware optimization, and system-level integration to ensure robust performance in real-world environments. The individual will work closely with senior FEI engineers to design, build, and test prototypes, conduct detailed data analysis, and develop automation tools for testing workflows. This role also includes ownership of PoC deployments, ensuring successful implementation and feedback integration from field trials. Location: Atlanta, Science Square Travel: Up to 10%. • Education: B.S. or higher in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field. • Minimum of 3 years of hardware and data analysis. • At least 2+ years in development of IoT based systems preferred. • Strong programming skills in Python (automation, data analysis). • Strong experience in data analysis techniques and application to large data sets. • Experience with web application development for prototypes or dashboards. • Familiarity with embedded systems, microprocessor architecture, and real-time operating systems. • Experience leveraging continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, along with GitHub. • Practical experience integrating AI tools into design and development flows. • Familiarity with cloud platforms and IoT ecosystems. • Knowledge of sensor systems and wireless technologies. • Experience with battery technologies or energy products is a plus. • Highly motivated, organized, and collaborative with strong interpersonal skills. • Ability to work in a multicultural, geographically dispersed team. • Stronge sense of ownership and ability to work independently. • Willingness to travel (up to 10%). • Resilient, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity. Lead proof-of-concept hardware builds and validation testing, including environmental and performance characterization. Design and implement Python-based automation scripts for test execution, data acquisition, and reporting. Perform data analytics on test results to identify trends, optimize designs, and improve reliability. Collaborate on sensor integration and wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi, BLE, LoRa) for prototype systems. Develop and maintain test frameworks and dashboards for monitoring PoC feature performance. Optimize hardware for power consumption, durability, and feature enhancements. Act as product owner for FEI PoC deployments, ensuring timely execution and actionable feedback. Provide clear technical updates to management on progress, risks, and outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS Candidates must have IP experience including patent drafting and prosecution and a background in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar. Design engineering experience with a chip company is a plus. Preference for candidates with networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless network, or the like. Candidates must be admitted to the USPTO and have prior legal experience. Bar licensure in California is a plus.
