The successful candidate shall be a technical subject matter expert (SME) in Instrumentation & Controls Engineering with an in-depth understanding of Process Control, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and Instrumentation. · Reports to the Manager of Instrumentation & Controls and Electrical Engineering, within the Operations Department, under senior leadership including the Director of Facilities Engineering, Sr. Director of Engineering, and VP of Operations.· Senior member of the I&C engineering team, occasionally backfilling the Manager during absences.· No direct reports but may supervise contractor controls engineers and mentor maintenance technicians.· Collaborates with peer engineers across all facility disciplines. Participate in Risk Reviews such as PHAs, HAZOPs, SIL/SIF assessments. Ensure MOC Compliance, including software change management and documentation accuracy. Establish and Enforce Discipline Standards, specifications, procedures, and guidelines. Monitor Safety Control Barriers, manage impairment risks to ALARP for continued safe operations. Collaborate Cross-Functionally with Operations, Maintenance, PSM, HSSE, OT, and other engineering teams. Manage Software Contracts and service agreements related to control systems. Contribute to I&C Budget Planning for Facilities Engineering. Support Brownfield Projects with I&C engineering expertise. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: B.S. in Controls, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree. 10+ years of I&C systems engineering experience. 5+ years of I&C systems engineering experience in an operating process facility.
