They will work with Facilities, Operations, IT, Planning, and Engineering partners to optimize performance and freight flow of MHE.

This role provides an escalated support resource during downtime events, ensuring proper training and processes are developed utilizing root cause analysis post incidents. The Electrical Engineer Co-op or Intern will work alongside other Electrical Engineers to prepare drawings, calculations, and other deliverables for our clients' design projects. The position will also require interface with team members in our other engineering disciplines to provide cohesive engineering packages to our clients.Responsibilities
Complete calculations of limited complexity, with supervision as needed; may include lighting distribution, conduit/cable tray fills, voltage drop, feeder sizing, etc.
Develop and maintain Electrical Single Line Diagrams, Schematic/Interconnection Diagrams, Conduit/Cable Schedules, Plans for Lighting, Grounding, Power, Controls, Raceway, etc.
Support the development of Power System Study models for short circuit, load flow, protective device coordination and arc flash calculations efforts
Assist experienced Electrical Engineers with their activities as requested
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree (or equivalent education) in Electrical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university
Effective communication skills in order to convey ideas is a must
Ability to work within diverse teams assembled from Nexus, clients, and others
Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
Seeks feedback to improve performance
Experience with AutoCAD or other drafting software preferred
Familiarity with Power System Modeling software (ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower) is desirable
Potential Experiences
Gain an understanding of the business and engineering work flow in a consulting firm
Observe and learn the application of electrical distribution concepts and systems such as protective schemes, device coordination, emergency power, motor control, hazardous area installation methods, etc.
Expand capabilities with drafting software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Plant 3D, Revit, Inventor, Navisworks, or others
Exposure to and application of industry codes and standards related to the electrical discipline
Introduction to utility interface voltages and client medium and low voltage distribution systems
