The Jr. Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical power systems and infrastructure for operations in government facilities. Under the guidance of senior engineers, this role ensures that all facility systems operate efficiently and effectively, and that maintenance policies and procedures are implemented to support site operations. These skills will range from basic trade tasks to assisting with oversight of field operations. Upon learning these skills, successful Field Engineers will have gained exposure to field operations - specifically how each trade interacts with the process of general contracting, safety protocols, site organization, project planning and subcontractor supervision. Responsibilities: Assist in ensuring jobsite is clean and well maintained to rand* standards Ensure appropriate signage and posters are installed and maintained Assist with and maintain appropriate jobsite security Uphold rand*'s jobsite safety protocols Support on-site coordination including traffic management, site deliveries, and materials tracking Support, interface and deliver on tasks outlined by the project superintendent(s) Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors as directed by project superintendents Inspect and inventory project materials and equipment Observe and maintain rand* standards throughout the project Observe and learn basic practices behind site logistics and trades sequencing Inventory tools, equipment and materials as directed Physical Job Demands & Working Conditions This position is located in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas. Jobsites will be assigned as available and needed. This is a full time position. This position may require lifting of up to 50 pounds or less and may require the use of ladders.
