We're currently seeking highly motivated and energetic students to join our team as interns in our Global Rolled Products (GRP) group. An internship with GRP allows students to be a part of dynamic and innovative projects, while providing ample mentoring and professional development opportunities. Working alongside leadership, GRP interns have the opportunity to sharpen their skills through hands-on learning. An internship with GRP will provide you with invaluable experience that you could utilize in any role, and it is Arconic's goal to evaluate its interns for potential entry-level openings. With over 60 locations across the US, there are opportunities to work in a variety of places around the country.

Electrical engineering role will work on plant floor with other like Engineering employees. Will work on projects, and other day to day aspects of electrical work at our facility.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications

3.0 GPA and above
Must be involved in at least 1 extracurricular activity.
Prior work experience.
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering with an expected graduation date of August 2023, December 2023, or April/May/June 2024.

Job Description
Candidates for this position are electrical engineering students who want real-world development experience on products being delivered to our customers. You will be involved in the development, testing, and simulation using one or more projects involving our Software Defined Radio (SDR) or custom RF communication systems. You will be part of a small (2-6 person), multi-disciplinary team that has full responsibility for product development from requirements gathering to final product delivery. Our products are developed to very high standards of quality and reliability and you will have the opportunity to learn the department's software process during all development activities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are important. You will present status of your progress to other team members and to management. You may also have the opportunity to interact with our customers.Candidates with an active security clearance are encouraged to apply.The summer 2023 internship program will occur from 5/15/2023 to 8/4/2023.

Basic Requirements
Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's (BS) or Master's (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.Candidate graduation date must occur between December 2023 and June 2025Candidate must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.

OVERVIEWThe process engineering position at the site is to interface with the factory technical staff and with corporate engineering to define opportunities for standards development and cost savings. This role is typically focused on high complexity manufacturing processes and is key to the standardization and advancement of the processes in Plexus. This role is also responsible for solving high level customer/assembly specific problems in the manufacturing process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead monitoring, auditing and reporting of site process through the use of metrics
Lead new and existing process development, implementation, and controls in support of Plexus and customer specific needs at the site Lead implementation of user group standards across the site and support user group projects on specific processes as required Mentor and train individual in various processes, required tools, and philosophies Support DFx development on new and existing customer projects and request for quote's.Lead assessments of new components for implementation into the manufacturing process Support tool manufacturing/design through implementation of corporate standards Support failure analysis Support new customer product introductions Lead cost reduction projects on specific projects Support process qualifications and validations of both new and existing processes Support quote activities by reviewing and ensuring all customer technology requirements are met
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering program for entire duration of internship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Junior level status GPA: 3.0 or higher is preferred Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills Strong communication skills
