For the right candidate, this position offers the opportunity for significant professional growth and the potential to collaborate with local and national teams. The candidate will have a broad range of responsibilities, which includes interacting with clients, leading electrical projects, and participating in new business development. In this role, your primary design delivery responsibilities will include conceptual design development, layout and selection of equipment, development of contract drawings using 2D and 3D design approaches, bid package preparation, field investigations, electrical and I&C design, and support during construction both in the office and in the field. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for building things, meeting new people, and desire to work with seasoned professionals who perform industrial, municipal, and other water/wastewater related work.
Job Responsibilities Expectations:
* Serve as a project task manager or perform as lead discipline (electrical and I&C) person on projects as appropriate.
* Scope and budget projects, identify method of project execution and coordinate staff assignments.
* Successfully manage and execute electrical design and be on time and on budget using company systems and tools.
* Support business opportunities and assist in sales and marketing efforts (proposal preparation, interviewing, scope, fee, etc.).
* Mentor and possibly supervise other electrical and I&C engineers and designers.
* Perform contractor construction submittal reviews and Request For Information (RFI) documents and general electrical design activities for plant and pump station power systems.
* Producing effective and accurate written documents, reports, and technical memorandums.
* Collaborate with a national team of technical experts in the Electrical and I&C group.
* Ability to travel occasionally to project sites and for client meeting both locally and out of
Desired Skills and Experience:
* BS in Electrical Engineering.
* Professional registration.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer working for government, municipal, and/or industrial water and wastewater industries preferred.
* Experience in electrical power systems design and specifications, which include service entrance, feeder and branch circuits, lighting, grounding, power distribution and standby power equipment, and associated systems studies and calculations.
* Solid knowledge in the application of the National Electrical Code.
* Solid knowledge and understanding of electrical safety , NFPA 70E.
* Effective oral and written communication.
* Able to multi-task, be enthusiastic, be self-motivated, and work independently with a willingness to learn.
* Candidate should be a self-starter, results-oriented, take ownership of their work, and be able to work under tight and pressured deadlines from time to time.
Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Navy, and Space Force under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
JOB SUMMARY -- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
The Avionics Engineer is responsible for hands-on engineering solutions to affect repair and modification of aircraft, to include support system integration and software development projects for Department of Defense (DoD) manned and unmanned aircraft. Some of the assigned duties include: specialized avionics, electronic warfare, autonomous systems, tactical communication/datalink systems, and sustainment tasks. This position also advises and provides technical expertise to internal electronics of Line Repairable Units down to the component level, ensuring operations.

Be responsible for mission avionics systems integration and performance.
Develop Engineering Orders (EO) for the incorporation of modifications to aircraft avionics and/or electrical systems/components.

Be responsible for creating, maintaining and updating related technical documentation.
Provides oversight and engineering expertise to maintenance repair team conducting repairs down to the aircraft component level.
Provide analysis and expertise during repair and/or modification efforts.
Perform sustainability analysis of potential spare and replacement parts.
Evaluate and provide source qualification recommendations.
Participate as a key member of airworthiness work groups.
Perform other position-related duties and assignments as directed.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 14 years of military aircraft related experience.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated engineer with experience integrating military aircraft avionics systems.
Experience in evaluation of obsolete components for reverse engineering replacement or repair.
Avionics Engineer License.
Knowledge of UAV aircraft avionics and systems.
Knowledge of COMM, NAV, RADAR, Surveillance, Indication, CVR/DFDR, Power distribution, Avionics Software, and aircraft wiring standards.
Knowledge of and ability to understand OEM Wiring Diagrams and schematics.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and MATLAB.
Current TS Clearance.

REQUIREMENTS -- EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor of Science in engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and 14 years of related engineering experience, or an accredited Master of Science in engineering and a minimum of 10 years of related engineering experience, or an accredited doctorate degree in engineering and a minimum of eight years of related engineering experience are required for this position.
In addition, an Engineer V must possess the following qualifications:
Well-established, substantial, professional reputation in one or more of the principal technical disciplines of the company
Demonstrated ability to direct senior technical personnel in project assignments involving research, development, integration, and sustainment of complex systems or processes

SALARY
The expected salary range for this position is $128,960.00 to $199,680.00 annually.
