We are seeking motivated candidates with a strong interest in analog instrumentation design, and in interfacing varieties of transducers and sensing systems to wearable sensor constructs. Successful candidates will work with the Hardware team at Delsys to evolve their existing sensing portfolio to capture new market spaces and to translate advanced research ideas into commercial products. Delsys embraces a cross -disciplinary approach towards engineering and is focused on developing flexible wearable constructs that fuse multi -sensing modalities, which include neural/EMG sensing, inertial sensing, force sensing, and pressure distribution technologies. Position Overview: Busek is seeking a Senior Electrical Test Engineer to lead and execute the testing and validation of electronic systems used in space propulsion. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, conduct, and analyze tests that ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of our hardware. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer with hands-on lab expertise who thrives in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead setup, execution, and analysis of tests on electronic hardware, including circuit boards and spacecraft power systems. Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and other instrumentation to collect and interpret data. Develop and refine test procedures, documenting results for internal engineering and external customer reviews. Troubleshoot complex electronics, test setups, and anomalies in collaboration with engineering teams. Support environmental and functional testing, including vibration, thermal vacuum, and EMI/EMC testing. Mentor junior engineers and lab technicians in best practices for testing and documentation. Maintain lab equipment, ensuring safety, organization, and calibration compliance. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in hardware testing, validation, or related roles. Strong familiarity with lab instrumentation, measurement techniques, and electronic test equipment. Solid understanding of electronic circuits, schematics, and components. Proven problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills. U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency (required for government contracts). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with programming or scripting (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB) for automated testing or data analysis. Job Summary: Define, develop, and execute comprehensive electrical test plans to evaluate key performance parameters. This role requires expertise in high-frequency electrical testing and an understanding of IEEE, IEC, and other relevant standards. Beyond testing, the Electrical Test Engineer will also manage the electrical test lab equipment, ensuring the proper maintenance, calibration, and operation of critical test equipment, such as vector network analyzers (VNAs), oscilloscopes, time-domain reflectometers (TDRs), LCR meters, and hipot testers. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting electrical performance issues, analyzing test data, and providing recommendations to improve product designs. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Develop, define, and execute electrical test plans for medical cable assemblies, connectors, and specialty cables. * Conduct signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), impedance, capacitance, resistance, crosstalk, insertion loss, return loss, and high voltage hipot testing to validate product performance. * Perform DC and AC testing on cable assemblies and connectors to ensure compliance with medical, IEEE, IEC, and industry-specific electrical standards. * Evaluate EMI shielding effectiveness, dielectric breakdown, contact resistance, and insertion/extraction force testing. * Perform accelerated ageing and life testing via temperature/humidity, autoclave and STERRAD testing. Skills/Qualifications Needed: * Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or related field. * 2+ years of experience in electrical testing, in high-speed cables, connectors, or medical device manufacturing. * Hands-on experience with vector network analyzers (VNAs), oscilloscopes, TDRs, LCR meters, and other advanced electrical test equipment Other Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in managing and maintaining electrical test laboratory equipment is a plus. * Experience with medical device documentation requirements. * Experience in testing high speed USB and HDMI products is a plus.
